Almost Caught Digital
Here is the digitally coloured version of the Almost Caught image. This image is for Nudge1 as part of her prize in getting first place in my contest.
The anthro dragon thief, while using two walls to suspend herself above a patrolling guard, finds to her suprise that the guard's pikes are very long. Fortunatly, her trousers are quite baggy so she didn't get pricked by the pike's blade, although she better hope that the blade is sharp enough to easily tear free or she is going to have a very embarrising moment if the guard looks upwards to see what his pike has caught on.
I've changed the background greatly from the pencil original - it was originally set inside a building, but I decided to open it up to make the lightening and shading easier, although it was still quite hard to get it right. I wanted the thief to be visible enough for the viewer to see what is happening in the image clearly, without making her too obivious that her attempt at stealth is quite visible to the most near-sighted of guards.

THAT IS COOL great idea, change the pants, but excellent idea, this is nice, good shadows,* though you might add weight to the claws into the building's walls, the wood i mean, perhaps some sag on the feet themselves that in from gravity and being pressed into the walls.
*Another thought the light you have is not jiving as much with the ninja from the standpoint that the guard is very well lit but the light would be actually above the ninja's shoulders and on the top parts of the figure. since the light is comming from below.
- Just a thought to make it perfect, really good colors too! :D

She's a thief and not a ninja.
The light in front of the guard is from a small lantern or something like that. It's light doesn't reach far so thats why there isn't any light on the thief (you can see the extent of the lantern's rays on the walls). The light on her is coming from the starry sky above.
