People dumped her off in the desert man. If you drive up to the property you;re in a truck, if you open the door she will jump in cos she doesn't want to be left, again :( I am working on connecting with her to where she knows nobody is going to leave her again, ever. I am her forever home.

It's funny,people come by the house and they see her, and they're like ohmigosh a German Shepherd, how scary! I'll pet the other, harmless, soft red dog- but he's the one who bites, and she's the one who would never hurt anyone or anything XD She is as gentle as a feather, even with other animals, she is the sweetest dog I've ever seen XD

And that's why I like big dogs, they may look scary on the outside but many I have met are just big sweethearts that need a friend. :)

Dude you said it. Lift those lips and it's scary, but their hearts are all for us as people. <3

Yep you can tell where she wants to be just like my Sage... One of the reasons she sleeps in her crate at night is so I have room on the bed.

Awww :) My two rescues were on the bed with me last night, and one of their stomachs was gurgling, the other was laying against me as close as she could (I was going through it last night)I almost kicked them both off but it ended up working out.

Awww, that's a beautiful picture. Looks like you are sharing a tender moment together. I LOVE cuddly dogs. The feeling is so indescribably good when they love you like that.

I hope you can get through to her that she'll never be dumped again. Some fears like that are hard to overcome once deeply embedded in their minds.

100% agree, I get a dog cuddly enough I never want to let go. Just that warmness and connection you get from them in the ether, a pure, unhindered heart connecting with your own.

Thank you, man, I am endeavoring to work with her and convey that to her. Actually making a lot of progress lately. Animals are so like us in so many ways it is surprising even me.

She is, man, one of the kindest animals I've ever known. I keep asking myself why someone would dump her like she's worthless, to fend for herself in the desert. She was probably just beginning to bond to the people when they decided she wasn't worth keeping, I imagine a family with kids she was growing to love, when the decision was made to be rid of her for whatever reason. Breaks my heart- but I am here for her, now.

She would die for me. But she was free, a friend asked if I wanted a stray German Shepherd. I was tentative but said yes. I am glad I did. She is a light to my life. A true friend to my other rescue. A loyal and astute protector. Not even ADT has protection like this. And She was absolutely free. How can you say no to that?
