My cordless drill
So I got this cordless drill. It was advertised as a cordless drill, but it can only make one size holes in materials like wood, plastic, and vegetables. 7.62mm, what an oddball bit size.
I had to do a lot of paperwork to get it, what's the big deal, it's just a drill.
The thing on the back isn't actually a cord, it's more like a convenient carry strap when I'm on the job site.
Another thing, I don't know why Feinstein calls the battery "high capacity" I can really only drill 30 holes before it goes flat and refuses to keep working.
The drill bits are only good for one use, each. They're not that sharp, either, but they seem to make holes in 2x4's just fine.
Below the drill is an ultra high capacity battery. You can't plug the batteries in to recharge, instead, you must put more drill bits back in.
Another thing, when I am at the job site, and I am using this drill, it is LOUD. Like, really, really loud. My fellow workers tell me, "Gosh, dude, that thing is like, really, really loud, can you make it quieter, dude?" and I am like, "Sure, bro."
So I bought a quieter, you can see it under the front. It really adds length, and makes it impossible to drill holes between studs, unless they're like twenty four inches on center... But who builds stuff with studs that wide anyway? Like, nobody, bro.
Well, there was that one barn once.
It also tends to make more than one hole when you're trying to drill a stud for wiring or for quarter inch copper tubing for say, like a refrigerator ice system. The drill bits really want to keep drilling like, way past where they marked the stud. One of the drill bit tips hit one of my coworkers once, and he was all like, "I have to go to the hospital now, dude, wth!"
But George was kind of a complainer anyway.
So I gotta be super careful with like, having stuff behind the thing I am drilling, or people can get hurt. Hey, this thing is pretty dangerous, compared to my Milwaukee hammer drill. Nothing comes flying out of it with a fireball like this drill does, and nobody gets nervous when I point my Milwaukee drill at them.
People seem to be a lot more willing to loan me money when I have this drill in my hands, tho. So I guess that's a plus.
Features include ergonomic handle, single color design, easy- grip ridges on the front, and detachable battery system.
I don't know why, but this thing gets real hot! The more I use it the hotter it gets, like, hot enough to burn my hand if I carry it around by the quieter.
My Milwaukee drill doesn't get this hot. It's also not as loud. And it's drill bits can be used many times. I am starting to think this cordless drill I bought was kind of a ripoff. Don't buy power tools from Romania, I am learning this the hard way.
Dog hair added for scale.

Haha I'm glad you enjoyed it :)
It's actually technically a barrel extension it doesn't really do anything. Because the threads were cut too tight it's not even concentric with the bore, technically when shooting with it the bullet strikes the inside of it at the end :/

No...I heard if you have anything class III they can raid and search your home at any time-fuck that. So no full autos or sound suppressors for me, not worth it.
And yeah dude, that is a baffle strike waiting to happen. The threads are cut so small and sloppy on the gun it's like the guy threading them brought his ten year old son in that day and had him thread all the barrels while he went out with the mistress...

Well atleast you enjoy it but other then being hella fun to shoot is there much practicality to them? Ive debated getting one someday but I don't know what I'd do with it besides practice drive-bys or something at my friends farm for shits and giggles.
Also does that one take 7.62x39 or the 5.45x45?
Also does that one take 7.62x39 or the 5.45x45?
It's the 7.62.
It's the perfect truck gun. I can't even maneuver my FN FAL in the truck if I had to. It is also a great hiking gun, too. Really cuts down the weight of carrying a fullsize rifle. It's relatively concealable, but you do lose 900 FPS with the tiny barrel. It is surprisingly accurate. If SHTF this is one of the guns I bring for sheer conceal ability, you want to look unarmed,or you may be shot for your gun. It's intimidating as heck, the muzzle blast is concussive in it's sheer force, enough to drive anyone away once they see it.

Nice, never used a 5.45 but 7.62 is just too much fun to mess around with and see what kinda ludacris things it can penetrate. So far a hardwood tree about a foot thick was the best thing I've been able to get bullets in and out the back with.
I couldn't imagine an FAL fitting in any car held vertically those things have always felt extra long when I picked em up. I hear snub noses are also surprisingly accurate so I guess it could work with an AK but Id think the recoil would make followup shots quite challenging. Never thought too much about the concealability aspect of SHTF but thanks for the tip, I guess I'd have to convert my SKS into one of these badass lil things. http://www.hunt101.com/data/500/P51.....SKS_pistol.JPG Haha I'd think so, the typical criminal won't be expecting a Mini AK vs their lil Saturday night special.
That drum looks a bit small is that the 50rd size? And if so how much extra weight do you think that adds?

Yeah man I tried maneuvering the FAL in my PUP truck once- nope. I'd be shot dead in a life or death scenario. People say there's less vibration in shorter barreled weapons, so the accuracy is better.
Hey that SKS pistol... that's a single shot weapon, there's no gas system...
The drum is a 76 round one. Bump firing that thing and emptying it in less than 4 seconds is indescribable.
Oh, it ads a shit ton of weight to it. Imagine two and a half banana mags plus a little more.

Wow and here they say that 7.62 is only truely effective up to 300 yards that guy is one impressive shot.
Hmm true but with the 30rd mag it could still be like a hand cannon Id think. I'd also think that manually rechambering a bullet would be just as quick or quicker then a bolt action. Either way I'd still have fun with one of those lil bastard guns as I would with one of those Mosin Nagant Obrez pistols.
Holy shit that's insane, I didn't think they could even cycle that fast!
Yeah that'd certainly be heavy, I've only ever used 30rd mags but Ive looked into trying a 75rd drum. Though those 100 round banana mags... if they even work... look like they'd be a stupid but hilarious addition to a gun.
Teeth rattling certainly would feel intense. It took me a while to get used to the shockwave given off by an AR when I was first around one.
Recoil isn't shit wow well you're really selling me on this thing for a future addition to my collection but that Micro Draco looks pretty crazy as well.

I am trying to upload a video of me bumpfiring it at night, aside from 3 jams, before i fixed it, i cleaned out that 30 rounds pretty quick.
It is a hand cannon...but it doesn't recoil as bad as a 357 magnum, small revolver. It really doesn't kick, the recoil is rather gentle.
And true, I'd rather have that SKS than a stick!
You'd be amazed at how fast you can bumpfire this thing. Bumpfiring it is second nature, just hold your right arm
still and pull forward with your left hand- you'll drain a magazine in less than two seconds. Or around that.
hahaha 100round banana mag? what does it curve like a giant U? XD
Yeah dude it is intense. Every time I have to prepare myself for the shock wave when a friend is shooting it and I am close by, but it is never enough. It still makes me flinch.
Another thing, when you are shooting it without the muzzle brake, it feels like little bombs going off in front of your face. This is truly a vulgar little weapon, it's not for everyone. But it's like it was made just for me <3

I saw the vid, that is some intense muzzle flare there, looks like it'd easily dazzle you. You ever spray that thing one handed?
That's good to know since the only pistol I've shot and own is a .357 snubby. Certainly a lot of kick to them but I hear once you learn a snub nose everything else is a cakewalk.
I've tried bump firing my SKS but I haven't gotten it completely down yet though just firing it as fast as I could I managed to empty 30 rounds in under 10 seconds. Also doesn't help that if you fire the gun too much the wooden grips start to smoke and the barrel turns white. I don't think my 59 year old battle rifle turned civilian assault rifle was meant for that kinda abuse. :/
Haha yup as ludacris as you'd expect but I'd love showing up to a gun range with one of these stupid things on my gun. Jungle style motherfucker!!! http://i.imgur.com/ldwm6.jpg
Well it's nice to see I'm not the only one, just so weird to feel the shock waves but it is pretty cool. Before that the only gun Ive ever been around that gave off a shock wave was my friend's 25-06, now those are some big cartridges.
It'd probably be one of my ultimate shits and giggles guns if I ever feel the need to pick one up.
As for 7.62 guns I'd sooooo buy one of these in a heartbeat if they were mass produced. http://airbornecombatengineer.typep.....9mmcompace.jpg

No, bumpfiring it is the only way to get rapid fire. Takes two hands. I have held it out one handed and it's hard cos it weighs so darn much.
DEFINITELY a TON less kick than a 357. I'd say more like a 9mm.
I've bump fired my SKS before, but the barrel is not designed to take the heat of rapid firing and you can shoot the rifling out if you do it too much. I'd rather preserve the innate accuracy if you know what I mean, SKS a long range weapon.
LOL What the HECK hahaha XD Wonder how reliable those are??
Yes that is a big cartridge. This gun tho for some reason really has a ton of concussion. At least dazzle your enemies.
Why's the cylinder so darn long on that thing? The 7.62x39 really isn't even a full powered rifle cartridge... That thing looks like it's for a .50 BMG...

Well that's good to hear. I just picked up some .357 hollow points that apparently travel 2100fps... I'm both curious and scared as to how badly that fucker will kick with those. My AK rounds are only like 300 fps quicker. o_o
Yeah I want my old ass gun to keep chugging along. As for accuracy idk how accurate my 16.5in barrel is compared to a normal length one.
I could imagine they would fuck up easily. One of my 30rd mags somehow manages to jam itself frequently so I could assume 100rd would be a nightmare.
I saw a scoped AR type thing the same size as your Draco at the gun shop today, I wonder how they'd compare.
I guess they wanted to make sure the thing can withstand it or maybe it just looks cooler? Idk but either way that'd be one fun revolver.

Well, it's not so practical to have a gun that you can't shoot comfortably... I guess every once in a while shooting it isn't so bad.
You have a shorty SKS? What kind is it?
Yeah man... Even these surplus Romanian magazines have issues...jam a matic. I put a Wolff +P mag spring in one and it's never jammed. Imagine the spring pressure that has to be on that follower to push the first 40 rounds up... It must be immense... Not to mention all that weight on the magazine latch... And getting in the way if you are having to lay prone...
Well, they don't compare. The deadliness of the .223 rounds is due to it's fragmentation when it hits flesh, in other words, the bullet literally explodes in your body because it's tiny, and it's moving at an amazing amount of speed. With a SBR or AR style "Pistol" you lose enough FPS out of the gun to where you no longer have the fragmentation you would have had had you of had a longer barrel. So essentially you are just punching tiny, .223" holes through people, with no fragmentation. You lose the wicked "exploding bullet" "grande" effect on flesh with an AR pistol. The 7.62 round is big, fat, and has a lot of weight behind it, so losing a few FPS isn't going to make the hole it makes any smaller. It's still going put some hurt on the target, but since it doesn't rely on fragmentation to inflict damage, it's still remarkably effective, even with a shorter barrel.
I agree, I am curious, I would love to shoot one!

I've yet to try the new hollow bullets but I think some more getting used to the thing and learning about pistols should make it easier. Normal loads don't bother me as long as I don't fire it rapidly for extended periods of time. The grip aint the best for concealing but it sure fits the gun in my hands nicely.
It's a "Chinese Paratrooper" Type-56 SKS and according to the serial numbers it was made late 1956 right after the Sino-Soviets stopped being produced... no faggy sporterized piece of shit for me. It has no bayonet or even a place where it'd fold into the furniture since apparently it was imported during the Clinton ban. I can't find any info on the importers though so I guess they weren't too big. Idk what to call it so I just refer to it as my "Wannabe AK." xD http://d.facdn.net/art/masochismism.....e_img_0170.jpg
My "show" magazine is from Unknownistan and completely didn't work off the bat. I'd get like 12 rounds in before the receiver or whatever the plastic thing on top of the spring is would get stuck. My made in America one that's obviously seen a file in its days works fine though but it rattles a bit more when loaded into the gun, the busted one is a nice tight fit. As for laying prone idk how to comfortably shoot the gun prone without shooting it sideways due to the banana mag's size which is definitely not the easiest task.
Huh well that sounds pretty pathetic, yet another reason I prefer using 7.62. Do you know how the penetration from the AK pistol compares to your SKS? I've always imagined if I somehow managed to get into a shootout with the SKS I'd likely fire more bullets at what they're hiding behind then the person them self since the bullets can go through some pretty hefty stuff so if ya can suppress them while also pumping holes in their hidden back that sounds like a win win.
Looks like I'll have to put that on hold. I just went to the gun store and saw a slightly used Ruger LCP for 230$ and it's so going to be mine hopefully next week.

Getting used to your revolver is a huge plus. We tend to "forget" how to shoot unless we do it enough, and that means more lead and more dollars downrange. Yeah I feel you there,my Glock 21 is fullsize and a big gun but I've figured out how to carry it every day, only once in 3 years of daily carry has anyone ever said anything, and he was an instructor at Front Sight. But if it feels like a glove in your hands, that's worth a lot, right there, but not worth much if everyone knows you're carrying.
Dude that is so cool! Freakin Clintons man. "Yes, having a gun that can shatter bone and rip through flesh is fine, but if you have a knife on the end of it, that's really scary!" LOL I love it man. That thing is cool. I have a Russian SKS my dad bought new and unfired back in the nineties when they first came in for $99.
Receiver= magazine follower. I bought a ton of 25, 30, 40 and 50 round metal magazines before the Klinton ban for my SKS that didn't work worth a darn, either. I put +p AK mag springs in them and that seems t have fixed the problem. In all actuality I'm planning on milling my SKS to accept AK magazines. It takes a ton of work and a machinists eye or you can destroy your gun.
Dude, that is a GREAT question! What do you recommend? Wet phone books?
Do it. You can never have enough guns or ammo. Guns never lose value so it is a solid investment. If you can, be buying bags of rice, beans, things like that for shtf because it is coming.

Well since this is my first gun and other then my snubby Ive only ever fired 2 pistol rounds before, I feel inclined to learn it and since I hear it's such a challenge to learn the way of the snub I wanna learn more because of the sheer power and because from what Ive been told if you can reliably fire a snubby you can fire most any pistol easy. I've thought about getting a Glock but plastic boxy Glocks are so ugly they just don't appeal to me, I want a gun that's both aesthetically pleasing and effective. I got my snubby under the impression "It's hard to go wrong with a revolver" because I hardly knew shit about pistols and I thought that mainly no matter what if I got a revolver it'd be likely super reliable and powerful no matter what model.
Why thank you, most people don't seem to have much enthusiasm for a Chinese Wannabe AK but other then not properly cleaning the firing pin, it seems like a great gun. Clintons had some shit gun laws but I guess they were our last decent Prez :/ From what I've been told using a bayonet in self defense is highly advised against because it "shows intent" because apparently locking and cocking 30 rounds isn't enough intent to defend yourself/property... Some laws just make me wonder what kinda shit they were on to pass em. But anyways how's the Russian one? I'd assume it might be a bit better but from what I understand the Yugo's are the way to go qualiitywise. A Yugo was my 2nd choice but I was like "fuck that, no way in hell I'll find rifle grenades for that and detachable mags+ a more compact barrel sounds hella useful." I've heard stories of the amazing deals people used to get where they could get a fresh gun and hundreds of rounds for dirt cheap but I got my SKS around the whole Sandy Hook fuck fest so prices were going up and unrelated but .22 was somehow super rare, so I imagine prices might have been a lil higher then.
I only bought one SKS adapted mag and it was a complete piece of shit, now that I learned that the hard way I carry a pencil or something long enough around to test the cheap shit. Unfortunatley Tapco mags wouldn't fit my gun and I didn't feel like filing them into submission... plus traditional mags are just sexy and badass looking. Unfortunatley every gun shop Ive been to doesn't carry AK mag springs too
How do you mill one to accept AK mags? Mine accepts adapted AK shit but that's about it, Ive learned the hard way if you load them wrong they'll just fall off after a single shot.
Well the Mythbusters did make phonebooks look like decent armor but idk, I think I'll leave the phonebooks to brutalizing worthless Gitmo prisoners.
True dat but I'm glad to hear they don't lose much value, I've been wanting a .380 for a minute now and the price is so right. I hear they're pretty weak but I'm sure a few .380 hollows to the torso would still easily fuck up the average assailant.

Everything you've heard about the AK is bullshit. Haha. This Draco has taken a ton of finesses to make reliable. +P recoil spring, feed ramp re-angle,polishing of all wearing parts. I don't get any jams out of the magazine I put a +p spring in but the surplus Romanian mags jam pretty bad sometimes.
It is also a fairly accurate gun, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vZi9nv9J3lc
So AK's aren't as reliable as some people think, and they are surprisingly accurate.

Oh they had a mistranslation there on the drill bit size, silly Romanians, 7.62x39 is .312" and 5/16" is .3125" so really it's "five sixteenths by inch and a half" caliber :p
Kind of like those SK 1/4 drive sockets that are marked 6.3mm when they really meant 1/4"
Get you one of them bulgarian 4 piece flash hiders and the proper krink front sight base for it with the threads on it. Tada, no more troubles with the muzzle threads being shitty, and it cuts down a bit on the loud without the feds getting a free pass through your door.
