Looking for Raihi's reference? Here it is: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/18137777/
UPDATE 7/27/22: Howdy! This post is no longer canon to Raihi, at all. But I'm going to leave it up for people who enjoy it, and to catalog my history. I was honestly a bit depressed when I wrote up about Raihi.
Introducing Raihi the Shadox! He's my Shadox form, but with a twist. I kinda... died before the transformation happened. As a result, Raihi lost most of my memories and has a more spiritual power set than a normal Shadox. For example, he is against any form of physical attachment to his body, especially collars. He's not completely against them, but good luck trying to convince him yourself. He also has greater power fluctuations due to his increased spirituality.
Unlike me, Raihi doesn't really care about anyone except close friends. He'll devour a random stranger's soul without even flinching. Emotionally, he's also really complicated and messed up as a result of being an entirely different person before his/my death.
But before you freak out about Raihi replacing Jordan! His/my death happens at an unspecified time in the future. My Shadox canon is not separated by dimensional barriers, but by time. That is all. I am still Jordan, and I will always be Jordan, but Raihi is always looming ahead. Comment below if you need more clarification.
UPDATE: It uh, took me a full year for me to realize that I never specified that I don't have to be Raihi to be a Shadox. Raihi's a separate character who just happens to manifest as my Shadox form after I die.
Also, this was drawn by the amazing
FairyTails
And to top this all off, I wrote a story on Raihi's origins! You can read it down below. It's my first attempt at writing again, I hope I did well.
"Shadows"
My heart stops. My mouth agape, gasping for a breathe that cannot be taken. I fall.
I feel nothing as I hit the ground. My body already growing cold, my pulse nonexistent, I lay there. "So this is what death feels like..." I think to myself, feeling my body grow limb and numb.
A shadow loomed in front of me. My vision growing dark, its shape was not defined enough to show who it could be. The shadow slipped out of my vision, heading somewhere behind me. Sighing internally, I waited for the release of death so I could leave for a better place...
As my vision become so dark I that could barely see anything directly in front of me, something happened. My tail... I could feel my tail! Unlike the rest of my body, which was a dead weight, my tail felt light and had a sense of infectious presence. Slowly, I could begin to feel again, begin to hold onto warmth again, but not begin to move.
Something was wrapped around my tail, I could feel its weight against my fur. Suddenly I thought of my necklace, which always vigilantly hung from my neck. "My necklace, where's... where's my necklace?" I thought to myself. "My necklace, where could it be..." This question haunted me as I continued to regain feeling of my body.
It did not take long before I could sense my entire form with this eerie sensation, my existence no longer feeling lifeless, but instead empty, hollow, and cold. It was almost as though I had been wrapped in a blanket my entire life, only for it to be shed at this very moment. Had I been able to move, I would have shivered from the sudden empty warmth that embodied my form.
When was it when I blacked out? Was it when my tail shrunk but fluffed out with fur, forming a softly jagged lightning-like tail? Perhaps it was when my body shed its feline personality and adopted canine characteristics? Or was it when my fur turned various shades of cold blue? Maybe it was when something wet and liquidy slapped against my back, or when a heavy object slammed into my back shortly after that?
Whatever the case, I was out for a while. An hour, a day, a week, a month could have passed by with how heavily I slept. When I did awaken from my reincarnation-induced slumber, one thing was certain: I could not remember. My memories were like shrapnel; scattered throughout and mostly incoherent, with only a few solid pieces. Some lost to the void, others too broken to ever be used again. Words floated about in my head, thoughts and feelings randomly coming and going like passing trains.
As I struggled to recall my history I surveyed where I was. The setting was a picturesque forest with a small lake to my side. A weak wind blew through the autumn leaves, creating a calm rustling noise that could be heard throughout the entire forest. The lake had not even a small ripple go across it; it was as flat and reflective as a mirror. Speaking of mirrors...
I peered into the lake to observe myself. My fur, once blue and black, was a full, cold blue. As a matter of fact, as I examined further, I found all of my fur was just a few different shades of blue. Except- was that a black patch of fur on my back? No, that wasn't my natural fur color... it was some sort of... ink stain? With how it was placed on my back, it almost looked like I was wearing a black saddle. Looking past my "saddle," I noted my tail. It was incredibly fluffy, but upon further inspection I could almost feel electricity coursing through it. And of course, faithfully dangling off my tail was my prayer tag. With a sigh of relief I realized it was also attached to my necklace, answering the question that was silently gnawing away at me.
The unspoken confirmation of my transformation into a Shadox seemed to put some of my memories back into order. My name was... Jordan Shinespark. I was a Luxray, and my friends were- I turned cold at the realization. Just how many people would have to be told of Jordan's death?
Growling unhappily, I laid down near the water and curled up. I was the only one who could tell them the truth... did I really have it in me to tell them though? But I would have to at some point... And besides, I... I wasn't Jordan anymore. I was too different now, just a collection of bits and pieces of Jordan's old memories... What Jordan might have looked back and laughed at was now something I would reflect on with nary a slight grin.
The crunch of fallen leaves caused my head to shoot up, my ears twitching slightly. Someone was nearby! And that meant... a soul to devour. I licked my lips at the thought of it. Maybe a bit of hunting could take my mind off things for a while...

So that's the plot behind your transformation! Making this you and not-you at the same time... I like it. <3 Dynamic, and completely fitting for a shadox origin.
And indeed, you can be your normal self in one reality and Raihi in another. ^_^ Another nice thing about ghosts, they can play with continuity like that.
Also this is my first time reading your story carefully and GOSH you wrote it well. It's very engaging, I love how you pace it and your word usage~ "It was almost as though I had been wrapped in a blanket my entire life, only for it to be shed at this very moment." in particular really caught my attention - that is an excellent way to describe becoming a shadox! I may quote that later. <:3 It's also interesting how Raihi still knows of the Jordan he once was to a degree, but chooses that new identity of Raihi. Honestly, this all makes me realize I really need a proper origin story for myself, hehe!
I'm really impressed with FT's work on your pic too. I love the gradients! ^^

I'm glad you like it! ^^ I put a lot of effort into it. Heck, I only wrote it when I was in a mood that would be productive towards the tone of the story. I thought I overdid it, but from what you've told me I apparently pulled it off perfectly. Quite honestly, this is my first draft of the story- no edits, nothing added or removed. I thought it'd need a ton of revisions.
