Or rather, after her owner couldn't take care of her anymore (very long story, bad circumstances for her location, i.e. illegal area), she's now in the possession of Skitter's owner and living happily at the sanctuary, she is a sweet little floof, she is so happy and cute! :D

Well, it's not so much long as it is complicated legal-wise. The original owner bought her from a USDA licensed breeder, and foxes are legal on the state level, but not in every county or city as those laws trump state law regarding ownership. She kept her illegally in a city where foxes were banned, she never got in trouble and my friends and I did visit them on a regular basis (if you go back far enough, you can see pics of Juno from 2014). As time went on, the original owner informed me on Facebook that she was going to be relinquished until she could find a permanent home. Well, that never happened for reasons I never knew, and sure enough, the owner of Juno operates the very sanctuary I visit Skitter at.
The downsides, yes, okay:
- The are destructive indoors, unless you fox-proof everything, they'll ruin and mark carpets, walls, etc,
- They are expensive to keep and care for, you have to allocate a lot of money and be sure you can afford to keep them
- Legalities are problem as they are very inconsistent, even in legal states.
- A lot of people get a fox for all the wrong reasons, be sure you can care for them as they live up to 15 years.
