Ahhh! Looking better and better! I can hardly wait for the finished piece so I can post it!
You should definitely keep those little dot thingies that connect between hat-Nelwin's head and the stoatskull and crossbones like you had in the lineart. That really adds to understanding that it's what he's thinking.
