More or less fleshed out and all but finalized, I'd call them mostly complete.
A concept and design that went through a whole bunch of changes - it should be fun to post a big sheet of "start to finish" with these things.
In keeping with this new universe's "Ossuary+" theme, FOEs fill in the role of artificials. They're a lot more nasty than Ossuary's - instead of being purely artificial organisms, they're heavily modified, selectively bred and gene-treated semi-sentient fauna native to the world. Generally, they only respond to certain trained commands, some of which can allow them a certain degree of autonomy. Not something circulated widely among those who are privileged to use them: faulty wires or connections jarred loose by the intense maneuvers they perform can rarely leave them with malfunctioning earphones, handlers yelling commands into radios that are never heard. Luckily, "berserking" friend and enemy alike is something they are incapable of doing on their own.

Something like the Destroyer from Teleglitch - lots of horrible screaming / roaring sounds, but probably a good amount of hissing too. I'd imagine they're usually silent until they get really loud, when surprise / ambush isn't so much a tactic anymore.

It's one of my favorites! Id' encourage you to beat it - if you like those kind of self-rewarding challenge things, it's a pretty awesome feeling to have finally overcome such a brutal game. Starting from the first level and going onwards is always easier (just takes longer).
Though - be really careful at the last boss. The body remains "active" after you kill it. It's not so fun to have beaten the boss and technically beaten the last enemy in the game - only to walk across it, take huge amounts of damage and die - without actually beating the final level. Back to level 1!

And yup - untitled until I can find a name I like that's in the "great grave / sacred grave" category ( Reliquary or Barrow sound neat ) it's just "D07 300." A decent amount of it can be glimpsed here - http://www.furaffinity.net/view/17971840/ but there's still a lot to do in terms of characters, equipment, vehicles, locations, etc.
"Ossuary+" more or less means "Ossuary's lower-tech, more focused, and not emotionally-dead inside sister."
