Note: All taken in Starbound.
To those who are going to say that this doesn't belong on this site; This image has been edited a bit heavily in GIMP. In-game, since I don't really know anyone who would have been willing to help with this, I could only have one character at a time, standing on colored tiles to show where they needed to be at. Nine pics were taken and mixed together to make this, the following link being proof of such: http://sta.sh/2aj56izjmat
For those who will still say that this doesn't belong here, despite me outright saying it was edited from the source pictures; I'll just move this to scraps, to where it won't be viewed by the public, only by those who actually visit my profile and look into the scraps folder. I'm saying this to try and prevent a repeat of the 'Rest in Peace, Mr. Iwata' one from a couple months back.

Welp, figured I'd do something like this since I started to get back into Starbound. Tis a line-up of Maus' crew, said character some peeps may remember from a year or so back. Several inaccuracies in the pic compared to how I normally picture the characters, but they'll be explained below.
From left to right - name and (species) - are Exi(Familiar), Maus(Human), Elisa(Floran), Mary(Avian(has 'Canary' as a surname but is never brought up while she's around)), Jim Knight(Glitch), Nezyu(Avali), Cleopha(Kineptic), Trostor Ostak(Apex), and Rikuto(Hylotl).
The roles of each member actually varies between each member as well.
Exi is the engineer of Maus' ship, being the most knowledgeable on maintaining the ships engines and various other key systems. Though that the gender of Exi's kind can be a little difficult to tell at first, the Familiar is female due to having slightly more rounded ears than a male version, though it's a little often that someone who's new to meeting her gets the gender mixed up at first due to the similarity. Despite on how dangerous the job can be, she doesn't show a tough-and-gruff kind of personality, rather one that's timid and shy, even becoming unnerved when Maus himself is around yet hides it somewhat well. That, or he doesn't care on asking on what's wrong.
Maus is the so-called leader of the crew and he is completely unpredictable in terms of personality. His recklessness has gotten him into countless instances of trouble, be it minor ones like annoyances or ones that got him outlawed from towns, some in the form of running from a hail of bullets and plasma. His unpredictability also makes him act way differently from any scenario; At times he could be tense during moments of calm or unnervingly so during critical moments. He also has demonstrated numerous times to actively defy physics, be it popping up like a gopher through reinforced steel, taking in a punch that would literally cave his face in and popping back out fine with only a small complaint about it, and even so far as to warp himself from one point to another. One popular joke about him is that he has a hundred sided die in his head in place of an actual brain, and whichever side it lands on means on how he acts.
Elisa is the 'adopted' sister of Maus, whom doesn't really tolerate moments when the human acts in a ridiculous manner. Significantly more level-headed than her 'brother', she's usually the one that handles any important discussions that she doesn't want to risk Maus ruining. Despite being irritable, she does get along with the rest quite well, even trying to help out when need be. Her main duty though is to help train others in any bit of combat, so that they could be able to defend for themselves if need be, Exi especially due to the Familiar's hesitance.
Mary was initially a chef for a travelling group, preparing and providing some moderately-high quality food for anyone that stopped by. However, she became separated from the group due to a group of pirates finding the group while they were travelling to their next stop, using an escape pod to flee and onto the surface of a forest-classed planet. It wasn't the end of her misfortune though as said planet had a temple to Kluex, filled with zealous members of her kind, of one branch that sacrificed unfortunate travelers to their god. Their method though was odd to most, to 'prep' any sacrifice via fluid-filled packets that would force the victim to plump up with weight. Mary was prime for it and was about to become a sacrifice before Maus and Elisa happened across the temple and promptly freed her from the zealots. Nowadays, she serves as the chef of the ship, though does keep some food to herself due to her larger bulk from her treatment by her captors.
Jim Knight was another example of a Glitch gaining self-awareness and breaking free from the central network. Prior to that, he used to work as a blacksmith for a moderately small town that also worked as a provider of food for other settlements on and off world, forging and maintaining weaponry for the town guard. When he did break free of the network, he tried to keep a low-down on it to prevent himself from being hunted while he gathered some items, knowing he would never be able to return to the town. He had little time to gather though, since his freedom had alerted the town guard, fleeing into the wilds before being found by Maus, whom had been roaming the planet at the time and at almost impossibly convenient timing as well. It was quick for the Glitch to be brought aboard, finding that the ship was quite peaceful in comparison to the town and allowed him to work in equal amount of peace, occasionally having to maintain Maus' hammer or any other melee weaponry. He also handles any mining, either for essential supplies or resources to use for the crafting of weapons.
Nezyu is a rather uncommon member of her kind, least in current times. Earlier in her life, she had agreed - along with several dozen others of her kind - to take part in an experiment that would alter her body and chemistry to where they would have much greater adaptability to different climates and especially temperatures. The process was painful and time-consuming, almost up to five years in time on the world she was at, having to adjust to simulated environments and climates from the facility she was at as her body continued to be experimented on and altered. Some of those who volunteered died to unintended miscalculations and some insisting they can brave the safe limits of the environments. In the end, when she was one of the surviving two dozen to be completely changed and even endure the tests, she was given a vessel of her own to roam the stars as a token of thanks from the staff of the facility. She wasted no time in using the ship to travel, roaming worlds that most of her kind would perish on without survival suits, though she still had to wear protection for the more extreme worlds and their climates, even building some automated farms if there happens to be a settlement close by and instructing them on how to maintain it. She met Maus and company after she had stopped on one world to get some parts to maintain her ship, agreeing to travel with them after she was done.
Cleopha was a high profile fashion designer, making the most elegant clothing for even galactic celebrities. She didn't mind being called a wizard, given that she does use her 'spells' to assist with the making of clothing. The title though was something that most of her kind would disagree despite the labeling of their technology. It's due to such that she is quite spoiled, often dining at the highest of quality gourmet restaurants and buy only the finest quality materials to use for her products. How she came to meet Maus and company is unknown, though her spoiled self has toned down quite a bit compared to earlier in her life, as well as her restrictions for when she needs to make clothing. It's to the point to where she won't mind tampering with even armor making, sometimes working with Jim Knight for medieval themed items.
Trostor Ostak used to be a scientist for the Miniknog, focused more into genetic manipulation and mutation, especially so for botanical reasons. Some of his products resulted in the weaponization of some food products, especially that of chili peppers, gene-splicing them to where they could be the organic version of Molotov cocktails. However, his results did bring forth results of more beneficial kinds, examples being more nutrients in some foods, plants that could be almost as strong as steel, or even some that could go to the point of being used as defensive emplacements. His experiments though proved to be his downfall from his status, one of the more lethal versions of the peppers exploding during transit by a fellow scientist. Those who were there were quick to blame Trostor, thinking he was part of the Apex rebellion and would not listen to his pleas, instead using some of his experiments to flee, hijacking an apex ship and escaped. He had to damage some of the systems of the ship to prevent the Miniknog from tracking the vessel, though it resulted in his ship becoming inoperable, a scenario he had no thought of during his rage from the sudden betrayal. He thought he would perish in the floating husk of metal, but it was pure luck that the small apex vessel ended up crashing into the vast, human-made one that belonged to a rather 'famous adventurer', it becoming Trostor's lab after adding it to the larger vessel and making absolute sure that there was nothing the Miniknog could use to track the ship.
Rikuto is a member that has quite the enigma to him; No one knows where exactly he hails from, what purpose he has with Maus and company, or rather much about his history. All that they know is that he just...shown up one day, wanted to talk to Maus about something in private, then be welcomed aboard just like the rest. It did draw some suspicion from the others, Trostor thinking he was a spy of the Miniknog, though over time and through actions, the Hylotl was able to prove that he was not a threat to the crew. He contributes through a good deal of swordplay, though almost entirely in self-defense, as well as working with Mary to provide food for the more vegetarian inclined diets of the crew. However, he was shown to be using some of the by-products of Trostor after gaining his trust, preparing them with care so that he won't end up 'poisoning' the others, despite the guarantees that they were safe for consumption.

And now for the detailing of what's wrong in the pic, to provide more accurate details of them.
Mary is one that is the one that's the most obvious to me; Instead of the standard sprite of her, she would be bulked up a bit to reflect what had happened to her in the past.
Maus is another inaccuracy compared to the pic, the link showing what he would truly look like should the item he needs still be in the game(ignore brown bit behind him, ignore green bit above him): http://sta.sh/041xw63vf72
Also, due to my lack of skill of editing/adding/drawing in general, each character would be interacting with one another in some way, shape, or form, a couple holding some items as well as being in entirely different posing.
Another thing that I wanted to list but felt that it would kind of make one part seem like a wall of text, well, more of a wall of text; Nezyu has a quirk with her after the experimentation; If she doesn't take a specially-made kind of medication, she would find herself growing in size, stopping once she reached ten stories/one hundred feet/under thirty and a half meters in standing size. This results in some either embarrassing, serious, or even silly scenarios, depending on where she ends up growing at, though it's infrequent due to the medication lasting a while and doesn't need to be refilled too often.
Edit/side-note: Now that I get a look at Trostor, it looks so damn goofy due to the glasses he has. It's making him look to his upper-right, like he's trying to avoid Rikuto's gaze. XD
All characters shown here belong to me.
