There is great power in fantasy.

In the idea of things. An active mind is a necessity for ideas to form, or to be given form. Variables, constants, abstractions and concepts made real through acknowledgement and realization.

Though sometimes, what is actual may not be quite what is generally agreed upon. Or even that there was more than what met the eye to begin with.

An active mind and a knowledgeable mind are not necessarily unanimous, and more often than not, chance has it that the mind in question is far more lacking in understanding than what it may believe.

However, that is not to say said people are outright clueless either. Everyone do what they can, forming their own idea of the world around them, how it works, it’s many laws and secrets and how to best use them for their own devices.

The most common path towards understanding is building an idea using what they already know, often focusing on a certain concept or present knowledge, forming - or using - a single methodology, custom tailored for the practitioner in question.

A form of focus for their skills and knowledge.

A way to channel the idea along a familiar line of thought.

Some use sticks of wood and words or thought, others turn to mixing and matching solids and liquids akin to those formulating symbols and geometry or to follow a certain way of life. The more esoteric or broader in mind may turn to less common things like the position of the world in relation to less tangible abstractions.
