Carrying on from my previous submission, this is Leslie Kennedy, another major protagonist in 'Space Pirate Captain MacTaggart'.
Leslie is the loyal second-in-command to Jaws MacTaggart. Like Jaws, Leslie is ex-Federation, and has also been affected by the Stellar Federation's actions, but in a different way...
Leslie's homeworld was a small, quiet planet named Eileandu, in the Sorados Epsilon system of the Sorados Cluster. This star cluster held a neutral position when the Third Galactic War broke out in 2983, but this didn't stop people from arguing over whether or not to get involved in the conflict or not. Then in 2989, both sides decided enough was enough, and began trying to wipe out their respective opposition. So began the Sorados Civil War.
Leslie was a soldier in this war, and built up her skills to become a very skilled fighter and commander. Then in 2997, when the Stellar Federation decided to try and end the war themselves, all hell broke loose. They rounded up fighters from both sides, and had them all executed. When they came to Leslie's group, the younger members were made to fire on the elders, many of them their own parents. Leslie was no exception, being forced to execute her mother Argyll. This was the final straw for Leslie, who ended up going on the run.
Several years later, Leslie joined the Stellar Federation Military Police, where she struck up a friendship with Captain Finbar MacTaggart and his wife "Jaws". When Jaws was dishonorably discharged, Leslie deserted with her, and became her First Mate onboard her cruiser, the Stellar Typhoon.
Nowadays, Leslie fights against the Stellar Federation, seeking to redeem herself for the execution of her mother. She also continues the search for her father, Winston, and her brother, Oliver, both of whom had gone missing during the height of the civil war.
