I am happy to share this piece. It was one of the stories I had to write for my fiction writing class and I have to admit it came rather easily. I never used to be able to write a story from start to finish, and it was an incredible challenge at first to write within certain limits, be it in theme or word-count. This one the theme was to have a character partake on a journey of some kind. I can't recall the word-count at the top of my head, but this version has been edited so it wouldn't have fit anyway. I know that I had gotten it to the word though originally, as is my usual style.

At any rate, I do hope you enjoy this piece... I have a rather soft spot for it now. I am contemplating doing a reading of this story since I feel like the meaning behind it is clearer and it creates a better image that way... I dunno, maybe I'm just...proud of this. Yeah. I think I'm actually proud of this. Wow...
