These are some of the home console versions of Doom and Doom II that i own, all of the ports pictured here were made in the early to mid 90's. But even now they still make versions of the game available for newer systems. Not to mention this is a personal favorite of both me and my dad, as i watched him play it loads of times on the computer when i was a young kid.

Thanks man, Doom is my absolute favorite FPS game of all time. I used to watch my dad play it on the computer all the time when i was little, he used to play the PSX version a lot as well. I still play it occasionally too. Those were some good times!!!
Nice sculpture, by the way!!!

Well given that it was a 16 bit console they were porting it to there wasn't a lot that they could do, if it wasn't for the Super FX chip the game would have otherwise been totally unplayable.
Still i have to say at least it was overall more accurate level wise to the PC version, in comparison to the other ports at the time which used the simplified Jaguar versions of the stages.

Yup that was definitely the best of the console ports, i like the ambient music tracks they went with instead of the rock/metal score from the PC version. It definitely adds a more creepy feeling to the game.
That is definitely an interesting idea, seeing as how the port for the regular Jaguar had no music in the levels themselves. There was only music played at the map screen between levels. The remixed 3DO tracks would have certainly been great had they produced a port for the Jaguar CD.

I totally agree. I also love the fact that it is not just the original Doom but Ultimate Doom and Doom 2! You got it all on one disc! :D
Also, have you ever tried opening the back of the dual-case? There might be a hidden demo disc in there.
HOMEBREW DEVS, GET ON THAT RIGHT NOW! XD

Yes i also think the 3DO port is good music wise, it's just too bad that the horrible frame rate make it to where you have to shrink the screen down to postage stamp size. Though i bet there is some solution out there today that could most likely fix that issue.
I also really like Doom 64 as well, that could have easily been called Doom 3 at the time had they decided to. But since it was released on the Nintendo 64 it had to have a 64 tacked on the title, i do like that they actually went with a different set of graphics and level designs instead of just the PC versions as usual.

It is definitely one of my top favorites for the system after Star Fox 64, Turok 1, and Super Mario 64, i definitely consider it more of a sequel than the Doom 3 that came out later. They certainly made it the most unique of all the games in the franchise.
Yes I looked, but nothing extra underneath.
