Heart in the Clouds.

A very angry and upset altaria stomped into her room as she was finally able to pull the last annoying pin out of her wing. A perfectly good day ruined all because of that over muscled nidoran. Ohhh if only Rene hadn’t shown up when he did she’d have given that pin happy lizard a dragon flaming that would of taken her a year to recover from. But instead she had been surprised and used for some sort of therapy! Rene had heard her first startled yelp and had quickly arrived to try to cool things down. She had managed to walk off with only a very few pins and that was mostly due to Nicole’s horrible aim.
Thanks to her natural cure she hadn’t been poisoned and had only been a little queasy from the attack. But she had far more hurt by the fact that Nicole Zuna had gotten the drop on her and made her look like a complete chump. What was worse her following conversation with Rene had solved nothing! Whenever she asked him why he hadn’t talked to Nicole or anyone else about those accursed pictures coming out he had only stammered or whined about it and hadn’t given her any answers.
Alicia Softsong sat down now in front of one of the mirrors that decorated her private dorm room and she began to think about all the things that had happened during the day the biggest question in her head was the one that Rene had never answered.
Why hadn’t he just told Nicole about the hot springs photos that had been taken? It would have diffused the situation but Rene had kept on insisting that Nicole wouldn’t be that mad. Well she hadn’t seemed that mad at Rene but she had been absolutely furious with her.
“Well Alicia,” Stormy thought. “You can’t really get mad at her for that you did after all take her boyfriend into a hot tub and tried to get into his tails.”
The altaria had to lean back and grin at thought, Rene had been so shy and yet so irresistibly cute. She hadn’t been able to stop herself from at least trying to see what would happen if she took him to the baths. The shy vulpix had been so cute looking once she had gotten him into the water, she couldn’t help but make a pass at him. It had been the first time ever that Alicia had been shot down.
“But then girl you usually have to beat off the suitors with a stick and a dragonbreath, Rene is one of the first guys who after you showed him your bank account he didn’t start to drool.” Stormy sighed to herself. “I just don’t know what a wonderful vulpix like Rene sees in that over muscled nido Nicole. They’re absolutely nothing alike, just what is it that he sees in her?”
What was the connection? Maybe Rene just wanted to be with someone stronger than him?
Stormy flinched at that thought as she remembered him, her first boyfriend, the only one that had ever thrilled her mother. Ace Highcloud or better known as the Ace. He had been everything that her family had wanted, rich family, birght future, and well respected in the community. To bad all that had done was to hide that he was a first class creep. Why had she ever gone out with him?
“Because you listened to your mother,” The altaria told herself. “You let the pressure of being something that your not get to you and you did exactly what everyone wanted you to do. Not what you wanted to do.”
Still Ace had been handsome and athletic Staraptor that had easily swept her off her clouds. Until that horrible first date! He had paid almost no attention to her the whole time, been grabby the few times that he had paid attention to her, and after the cheap dinner they had gotten expect her to just jump into bed with him because he was the Ace.
After she had left him out in the cold all sorts of rumors had begun to float around her old private school. Her high society friends started to ask her what was it like to “do it”. Other guys had started to hit on her because they had heard that the altaria gave out. It hadn’t taken much of a genius to figure out just who had started all the rumors about her dating habits.
A quick encounter had reveled not only that Ace had given out some hints about their date. But if she didn’t make those rumors come true, then he would start getting mean about it.
Alicia gave out a shudder about how Ace had pulled out an altered photo of her during a gymnastics class, minus her clothes. The threat that if she didn’t go on another date with him and go all the way. That photo would accidentally find its way onto the internet and to the news rags.
She had let the bastard give her a hug, just so she could iron tail him right between the legs. The resulting uproar and photo witch a teacher had unfortunately found while the Ace had been curled up on the ground. She had been thrown out of her private school and had landed at the public high school with the rest of Team Rebel.
Her mother had been unhappy demanding to know why things had fallen apart with that perfect gentlemon Ace, and why in the heavens had she taken such a lude photo of herself.
“Mother never did listen she always has to be right.” Alicia grumble as she prepared to go out for her afternoon training session with the rest of her team.
After that she had steered away from the jocks, the big and popular guys. No she had found out the hard way that it was better to get a male who was nice, kind, sensitive, in a word safe. Somebody would never be underhanded and dishonest with. Some mon like Rene, that cute vulpix had been her dream male. Until she found out he was taken.
Alicia wondered if Rene felt he had to be with Nicole because everyone said he should be? Or maybe he felt that he just had to stay with his first girlfriend? It seemed to be the only explanation why two mon of such different temperaments where together. She had never believed in the old opposites attracts theory.
Well whatever the case she would just do what her own real friends had done after her own disaster. Just be their for Rene, and try to be a true friend to him. Without the nudity. And if Nicole messed up the relationship like Alicia thought she would well then all bets would be off then and she would be sure that Rene would be with a mon he deserved, a nice altaria who would treasure the sweet vulpix like he deserved to be treasured.
