Backstory:
Everyone in Tyndale had their own thoughts on the sinister shenanigans of the demonic centaur, Velirai. Some enjoy the changes she brings, while others are horrified by her actions. Christine is definitely a part of that latter group. Having grown up in a fairly down-to-earth family with strong morals against the reshaping of one's body, she's expressed much discomfort towards the subject of transformations, and is disturbed by those who willingly transform themselves or change others by force. The fact that her cousin was transformed in a truly scary manner one summer didn't help much.
In addition to transformations, she is also rather cautious around some of the stranger traits some of those around her have. Mona's love for her snake-arm, how sexually loose people tend to be, and just the overall positive atmosphere around much of the time her unnerves her. Primarily due to her beliefs - she grew up overseas in Cartria before moving to Jerim, the latter which was slowly becoming a more hybridized country now of Human and Tieran, as well as other races, instead of just purely Human like Catria primarily was. Thus, more and more Tieran culture elements have bled into Jerim's people, such as those in the town of Tyndale. Ironically, the friend Christine is closest to is Tiffany, who hangs out with her quite a lot and helps out with assignments. And unlike most Tierans, Tiffany has made no attempt to rub any of her culture off on her, which Christine appreciates.
When it comes to the changes her friends have endured, she's very sorry about what's happened to them. In some ways though, she is more thankful that she hasn't been visited by Velirai yet. For someone who despises transformations and those who deal with them, she fears what the demonic centaur would do to her. For now, she can only pray for the best, and continue on with her studies.
The last of the group of friends. As well as the one that took me the longest to figure out.
When I first conceived her, unlike the others, she had no distinct character or design. Essentially a background character who wanted to be a secondary character. But eventually I finally came up with who she was: the member of the group who actively opposes transformations of all kinds in the story. Hmmm! I sense elements of the Ardent Determinants Alliance in this girl. Mwhee hee hee!
