Did you hear about the rose that grew
from a crack in the concrete?
Proving nature's law is wrong it
learned to walk without having feet.
Funny it seems, but by keeping it's dreams,
it learned to breathe fresh air.

when no one else ever cared.The seed must grow regardless of the fact that it’s planted in stone.

I was a bit beyond words at this one. Today has been a bit of a special day for me. For the first time in four months, I've received support from not only one but both of my parents which was unprecedented. Poor Darkspot had to listen to me be a happy/exhausted emotional mess for a majority of the day. It's been a struggle dealing with the rejection and venomous animosity aimed at me by the two central figures in my life for being transgender, and I got positive feedback from them for the first time since I started on hormones four months ago today.
So when Stripetail decided to message me on Skype out of the blue with this, I got hit with all the feels again x'3 In a good way. As he put it:
'It's supposed to be a transformative piece on freedom, hence the melting away of the fabric to rose petals, and based off the works of Alphonse Mucha.'
Stripetail has been one of the most supportive people in the world with me over the majority of this past year. I can't emphasize enough just how excited I am to be able to meet him next month :'3
