This is Chapter 5 to a commissioned novel. It is set in my Caretaker Universe, and is universe canon. The story follows Rooky, a young male tanuki (basically a raccoon with some panda thrown in there :P), who has made some extraordinarily bad life choices, but eventually goes off his better judgment and makes a very poor choice indeed... One that sucks him into the clutches of a certain secret society.

i'll check them out after i read the last chapter of this novel,currently at chapter 9! :D in comparison with Vexxus version and yours is the focus that are on the characters, your has more focus on the caretaker themselves, also there alot more details into the process and reasoning behind the rehabilitation.
Empathy is one of the key struggles of the universe, certainly :) I kind of felt like Vex/Randall's stories were unnecessarily hard on the cubs, and it always dragged me out of it. Process and reasoning are really important elements to me, primarily because, without their justifications and limits, some of the things that these people do could be, well, extremely harmful.
