Hello everyone! I thought after a fine day of mixing and organizing and doing music stuff that I'd share with you one of my most developed pieces to be featured in my upcoming album!
"You" is one of my more personal pieces, and I really think the writing speaks for itself, and It's something I'm proud of! I'm excited to continue writing to this and turning this into a complete production!
Also, I tried something new with this piece that I didn't expect to pull off! Minimalism!
Eluti and I were having a conversation on Skype about where I should go with this piece in particular, since I felt the need to make this super intense chorus, but he steered me into the right direction by telling me that I don't need to go all out! So I thank him for knocking some ideas into my head!

I think this would make an excellent trance song. I don't suppose I could get my paws on the stems to remix it? What program do you use? Maybe we could do something together.
You have good compositional instinct, you just need some work with mixing and samples. (the vocals sound like they're on a sub-par mic too but thats forgivable. mics are expensive yo.) I also think it's just a tad too slow, assuming you're building to 1:05. Maybe thats just typical of the genre, but it really does sound too slow and empty to me, especially with what the lyrics are portraying.

HAH my microphone is a Blue Yeti USB. Nothing I'd consider tolerable in the professional field of audio, and its proven lately to be everything but high quality. Lol I guess I'm just happy to know I can sing and write meaningful lyrics :p
And the song does seem rather...uneventful maybe on that build? The chorus repeats and not only that but I not a personal fan of them to begin with. BPM feels right to me though I couldn't imagine it being faster hahaha xD but hey! That's just me and my taste for this sort of genre. I use tap tempo a lot. I always have lyrics in my head before starting a song, and find out the BPM of what's in my head so I have an accurate representation of what I'm thinking of :3

I'm still learning the ropes. Maybe I have the ear but not the environment? I dont know but this kinda stuff helps me out a lot, because I never really thought about a lot of these things, and I really appreciate that <3
And stems for remixinnng...well! Its something we can definitely do if you're up for it. I obviously need to finish the track first. You seem to have higher standards than I do quality-wise, so I wouldn't be surprised if you reworked a lot of my vocal samples haha (because I hate my recording techniques -~-)

Awe fuck, you're my new partner in crime. I'm on FL 11. I'd have 12 right now, but my workstation is a mac book pro, and Image-line just came out with their Alpha for native OS X FL studio (So excited for them to finally bring FL to Macs!!!!!)
