witehowlr and I were at a hockey game and this small child right in front of us would NOT SHUT UP...kept shrilly screeching "GA DA!!!!" (go dad? I have no idea) at the top of his lil lungs, over and over, ad infinitum. I thought my brain was going to start leaking out my ear. Then Howler had a great idea.

EXACTLY. This mom could have cared less. And there was a lady with a baby/toddler in a stroller at the end of the bleachers who was keeping her child entertained/happy/in line so well. I was like LOOK WITH YOUR SPECIAL EYES, TERRIBLE MOM, LOOK AT THE SHINING EXAMPLE OVER THERE

Yeah, I mean it's the same way I feel about awful backyard barking dogs (I have had 2 neighbors do this to me now)...more often than not it's the owners (analogously, parents) being neglectful or not caring/paying attention more than it is a bad pet (analogously, child).
Nope, they have a sweat thing. Something about sweat makes them happy cats.
I remember once when I was a teenager I came in from mowing the lawn on a super-hot Kentucky summer day and collapsed on the living room floor... my silver tabby of the time came up and started licking my armpits. o_o;

My nephews started crying 'cus I wanted to do commissions and a couple calls for work alone in my room and they wanted to use my wii. Then they went and told their mom (my sister), and she came up all furious like WHAT THE FUCK IS HAPPENING and I'm like "I wanna do work in peace and I don't want children around my ears and no you may not take my wii downstairs"
then they went and got my mom and she forcefully tried to take it and I literally slapped the shit out of her. "IF YOU CAN'T HOLD YOUR KIDS IN LINE ITS NOT MY PROBLEM. THE WII AND EVERYTHING ELSE IN THIS ROOM IS MY PROPERTY AND YOU CAN FUCK RIGHT OFF."
