Sometimes I get weird ideas.
See, I was browsing around and stumbled into all manner of awesome looking Female Sonic designs and totally wanted that hair on a character...but I didn't wanna just make Yet Another Hedgehog! At the same time I noticed that some of the designs had kinda...tentacle-y looking spines due to how thick and limp they were...and it IS the Year of Tentacle Hair so why not design a tentacled lady! But when I tried to make an octopus girl? It didn't turn out great.
I had also been thinking about how much I love Orca color patterns and Orca tails and was thinking about making a weird fusion creature thanks to one particular artwork so why not an Orcapus!
But then I realized how much that little black nose and ears can enhance things so I threw some mouse in there. Also justifies the small size.

Yeah now we're talking! A fusion so weird it's awesome!
