Quirachen has drawn for me before, though this is their first time drawing Cinnamon.

This started out as this YCH that spoke to me so strongly, I pounced on it. I totally saw Cinnamon there, with her staff, in an alien Pandoran cave, and Quirachen clearly saw it, also. :) A prime example of how a YCH can turn into a gorgeous piece fitting for someone's character.

So here's Cinnamon, visiting a cave on Pandora, perhaps about to take a dip in the mineral-rich waters. Do they hold some secret that only she knows? She is the clan's chief explorer .. if she discovered something interesting about this cave, would she share it, or keep it to herself? I think I know the answer, and will hint at it in an upcoming story. Look at that, a YCH inspiring character development. :)

Quirachen did a great job with this piece. I wasn't expecting quite so much 'character' in the background, as the original intent was for it to be 'simple' I think, so I was floored when it came out so beautiful and thoughtful. I like the aperture effect ... how Cinnamon's face is all sharp, lit, and in focus, and the rest sort of fades a bit into atmosphere. Neato. :)
