I'm glad you still enjoy it, but am sorry to hear you weren't completely satisfied. In the future, clearly stating your expectations to your artist at the beginning of a commission can ensure as positive an experience as possible. That said, if you'd like a more static pose next time, I'd love to do a new commission with you. Especially now that I understand your aims 100%!
This one is goddamn NUTS are you serious? I love that the painting itself is kind of exploding at the site of impact. Is that some sort of weird alchemy single width brush you're sketching with? It looks cool, like everything is wires. Also, seems your faces are drifting a bit more cartoony, deliberate change?
Thanks! Trying to get the drawing down before painting. Alchemy has line and shape as the main tool, and the drawing was done with the line tool. I then build on top of it with dark shapes to make almost a finished "lineart".
Cartoony faces are to keep my proportions and readability clean, but I'm still interested in realism!
