This is a Light Keeper I adopted from 
Aelli and I don't know what I'mma call her just yet!
Species info ~
SPECIES: Light Keepers
JOB DESCRIPTION: They take care of the forests of Kolan, helping lost travelers find their way and guiding them on the right path with their lanterns. They are often seen as the caretakers and spirits of the forests.
PLACE OF ORIGIN: The planet of Kolan
CLIMATE: On land it is rather hot and humid, there are giant flowers and lush vegetation covering the earthy regions of the planet. Much like that of a rainforest there are many colorful animals and plants, both of which can be extremely deadly.
HAIR/FUR/SKIN: They can have any type of hair, and they are often covered with a short thick layer of fur.
TAIL: The tails have a firefly like end that glows, it is often ringed with fur. The glow color matches that of their lantern.
EARS/EYES: The dragon-like ears pick up both sound and movement and can rotate nearly 360 degrees. The eyes can see perfectly in the dark as well as the light, though they see better in the dark.
FACE: They have a feline facial structure with large eyes.
SIZE: Males can grow to 8 feet tall, females can grow to 5 and a half feet.
MATING: These creatures are aggressive and they can get quite territorial. They can mate four times a year, gestation is roughly 3 months, and they mate and bond with a select partner for life.
LIFESPAN: Can live up to 1000 years. When they are born they resemble small furry dragons, hatching out of a soft-shelled egg-like object that is attached to the cave wall and glows. As they become toddlers (after a year) their tails and eyes begin to grow. By the time they reach childhood their antlers begin to grow in and they can start practicing their selected magic. As teenagers they select a profession based on their type of magic. When they hit 18 years old their lanterns grow in as a symbol of their sexual maturity. By the age of 20 they begin looking after the forest and all of the people who visit it.
COLOR VARIATIONS: Can have most colors of the rainbow, it is very rare to see any metallic colors but not entirely unheard of, especially for those who dwell in caves or underground.
DIET: They can eat mostly anything but often choose to be vegetarian, they find it hard to eat animals after raising and looking after them their whole lives.
