it's definitely a cool hobby and if you enjoy crafting it might be right up your alley, but definitely don't drop that kind of money lightly. the machine will run you several hundred dollars, plus the subscription to illustrator, plus the digitizing program, so it's not an investment to be made lightly. for the price of getting a machine, you could purchase a ton of patches and several commissions from me, haha!
