Long story behind this one. Over the time I have been making 3D models, I had made 4 different dolphin models. Some I made so long ago that the quality of the model sucked, some I just lost in data losses. So today, after having an epiphany while composing a journal I never posted, I decided that I had put off my lightwave work long enough. I knew that I would have to make a dolphin model eventually, so I threw one together in a few hours. I had started at 1 and finished at 5, so the real time was 4 hours, but I took several breaks during the process to pet my dogs, get a snack, take a nap, etc. I decided to show the progression of how I make the model. From the 3rd on, it is a subpatch model. There is still a lot of detail work I need to do on it, but the basic shape is down.

Well, overall, I think it's fantastic! But if you insist....
I think the forward fins might be a bit on the short side, but I've always been a bad judge of depth. Also, the eyes need to be a little more forward, and perhaps somewhat recessed. I don't remember my dolphin anatomy, but I seem to remember that being a point. Finally, the nose needs to be a little longer, seems a bit stubby.
Other than that, it looks just like the real deal. You did this in two hours? Amazing. Makes me psyched to see what rave-cat-me will look like when finally done.

Hurray! You pointed out 2 of the flaws that I deliberately left in this image. The eye, lower jaw, and rostrum don't meet up like that. I do need to fix that. Another blatant flaw is the lack of multiple perspectives, which makes depth and details impossible to see.
As for the rostrum being too short, I think you are right, it should probably be a little longer. Really, right now this 2 hour dolphin is garbage compared to the last dolphin model I made. It was lost in a hard-drive failure. I typically step away from modeling after a couple of hours of work so that I can regain perspective and see the model with fresh eyes later. Hopefully, after some modifications, this model will be as good, if not better than my last dolphin model.
Thank you for the feedback.
