You have no idea how much I wish I could get a decent shot of this thing... (Camera refuses to focus on something so small)
My part of an art trade with
RisuMurasaki
This was done shortly after I mentioned being willing to do art trades, with my sculptures being my part of the trade.
This piece has more detail then I even want to think about. Mostly because, due to my shaky hands, I had to keep going back in and fixing stuff I'd just done...
A few facts about this one:
The figure is just a bit over 2 inches long and 1 1/2 inches wide if you exclude the keychain hole (covered with a paper towel in this shot)
She has both goggles, and glasses. Now, I admit they're just one lens each, but I was terrified of working at this scale.
The model has both pupil and Iris, thanks to a piece of solder, and a single hair dipped ever so slightly into black ink.
I want a machine to do this part on future models. My hand was so shaky while adding the pupil it's not even funny.
The entire thing is sandwiching a metal substructure of solder, which in turn adds a nice solid interior. Hopefully further decreasing chances these things'll break.
A final note. Yes, that dark spot on her pants is actually a button hole, part of her cargo pants. I chose a hole because I thought a "button" might just be mistaken as a lump on the pants.
