I write and also roleplay, and I occasionally have my characters reference "their author" as though they're entirely independent from me and I'm just kinda hanging around somewhere doing my own thing. So the joke touched a nerve with me anyway... your facial expressions sealed the deal though, I almost fell out of my chair. Priceless.
