they are what their name describes: a ghost - or more specifically an animate, hollowed out corpse that’s possessed by some kind of galactic spirit. the tentacles in the corpse actually fill into the limbs to allow movement. and since the corpse is completely hollowed out (no bone, no muscle, no organs), there is no limit to how it can bend. the knee could bend forward, the “spine” could twist impossibly. if they wanted, the corpse could be bent to match the stance of a quadruped.

i like to imagine the way their eye works is similar to how Duskull’s is (a single energy orb inside of the skull made to look like an eye depending on what angle you’re looking at).
