By the suggestion of the lovely
Lady-Turiansexual i have made this story involving Ester and her character Lyndros, found here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/16693412/ . In that, they would do a musical duet as by coincidence, we got these characters from the same adopt set, and they are both singers, so they're artistic sisters I'd assume?
For the song, I chose Delilah by Florence + the Machine from their new album I've been listening to. I thought it was perfect because it shifts back and forth between singing that is physically possible by one person, and singing that only Ester could do since she can sing more than one tone at once. A cool thing I did was make the colors represent characters during the song.
Ester=blue
Lyn=Yellow
both=green
please listen to the actual song here! it's key to understanding the story.

This color coding was a bitch by the way, but i hope the result is worth it!
This was a delight to make. especially since it gave me an excuse to go nuts with the visual details.
Anyways, enjoy it!

“Sooooo…I have surprise my love!” Leif said as he rounded the corner into the bathroom, were Ester was applying medigel on a patch of worn flesh on her elbow. After all, a metal skeleton (as well as additional parts) were not entirely healthy for a meat covering. She jumped in a bit of surprise already, at Leif’s sudden burst of energy.
“Leifkin! You almost made me activate my combat programs you scared me!” Ester said laughing as she playfully threw a towel at her mate… would they call each other mates yet? She had no idea and decided to ask later. She resumed her attention to the mirror and admired the quick healing. With some make up, she was able to cover the sores and was normal again. Leif came up from behind her and rested his left hand on her left hip, leaning in to kiss her neck.
“Ha, you wouldn’t shoot me. I’m too pretty.” Leif said in between kisses. “Besides, I wouldn’t get to give you your surprise then!”
“What is it?” Ester asked as she turned to Leif and took his hand to hold, bringing herself close to his face.
“I got you a date…” Leif said in a rather seductive voice.
“Leif, I’m pretty sure that our relationship isn’t supposed to work like that.” She stated with a chuckle. She then paused and in a serious tone, said: “Wait. Is it?”
“No hun. I mean… we could, but Lyndros Kyressan isn’t really my type so-“
“Holy shit! Leif you didn’t!” Ester jumped a bit and hugged him tight. Leif could barely breathe as he heard his bones pop from Ester’s hug. “Thank you!”
“S-top. I’m. Too. P-pretty.” Leif groaned as his lover forgot her enhanced strength.
“Oh, sorry.” She said as she released him, readjusting his cravat on his cowl. Leif gave a wry smile.
“Anyways, we’re going with Mycroft to pick her up at her apartment and head to a bar.” He smiled with a mischevious look on his mandibles. “She doesn’t know they have open mic night tonight, but I’m sure you can convince her...”
“Oh honey you’re the best!” Ester laid a strong kiss on Leif’s lips. “Well let’s get dressed! Where’s that outfit you got me last month?”
…
Lyn looked at herself in the mirror, sighing at the scar mark on her neck. It was rather nasty looking, as usual. She applied some beige make up over the edges and then placed her gold collar on, covering the more explicit portions. When everything was unnoticeable, she gave a satisfied sigh. She felt that familiar tugging feeling in her gut. She moved her feathers on her eyebrow piercings, thinking about her shyness. She knew Leif from a time when he attended a gala. They had talked and he won her over with his charisma and they quickly became good friends. Recently, she had contacted him and they decided to meet up. She was excited, but still, the butterflies warned her to beware the turian he was bringing. She was completely unknown to Lyn, and that meant she could be…bad in some way? Lyn sighed again at herself; the only risk Ester posed was that she was a “big fan.” Lyn shuddered at those two words, knowing their connotations. Damn it Lyn, not everyone was like him! She thought to herself. This was the last that man would invade her thoughts tonight. This was her day off and it was time to party. You got this! Fuck that Guy! You’re the best Lyn! Nothing is g-!
The doorbell rang abruptly and Lyn let out an audible yelp. Little did Leif know, that was the second time he scared a woman tonight.
…
Leif went to the garage with Ester’s arm in his own, where a krogan, donned in a black suit and a pistol at his waist, read a datapad in patience. He looked gruff, and rather jaded, yet disciplined, as any 300-year-old butler/chauffer would appear. When Leif entered, he stood and buttoned his jacket with practiced elegance.
“Master Zenox, are you prepared for this evening?” He said, gently bowing to Leif, his accent resembling a British human for whatever reason.
“Certainly Mycroft! We’re off to Madame Kyressan’s abode tonight, then to the ‘Primarch’s Study’ club.” Leif winked at Ester who gave a giggle. “Is the Nebula limo ready for this evening?”
Mycroft nodded and tapped the pad a couple of times. A door opened and revealed the gleaming, dark purple, elongated skycar. He went to the rear door and opened it for the pair of turians before him.
“The vehicle is ready sir.” Mycroft said with a blank face.
“Very good Mycroft.” They entered the car.
…
Galen looked out the doorway, as was his job, since he was his sister’s bodyguard. Before him were two turians, as well as a krogan far in the distance by the car, waiting patiently. His mandibles clicked as he surveyed them. Once he deemed that the pair was not a threat. He called up to Lyn, who was waiting at the top of the stairs, giving her the all clear. He opened the door for her when she got to it and stood back, creating a small presence of intimidation, as his training called for.
Lyn stopped, stunned at Ester’s beauty. She loved the way that her sky blue colors clashed with her dark skin tone. It all fitted her dress, which was adorned in gold designs. She had a necklace with similar colorings. The only jewelry she wore on her face was the strange, web-like design on her fringing mandible. It made for an elegant and stunning woman.
Ester could say the same. She observed the beige dress donned over Lyn’s cowl, covered in dazzling gold, and spiraling patterns. The flowing bottom half was split to show her lower legs. Her arms were covered in tight fitting bracelets, also golden in color. Her posture did little to help emphasize the wealth in her outfit, however, that was unnecessary considering the dress already screamed with class. Ester made the first move, holding her hand out to shake.
“It’s a pleasure to finally meet you Miss Kyressan!” She said eagerly. Lyn daintily took Ester’s hand in a weak shake.
“It is a pleasure to meet you too Estrica.” Lyn said, before smiling a little, swiftly returning her hands to her sides. “Leif has told me many good things about you.”
“Well hopefully not too many.” She said as a joke and laughed hard and loudly, when nobody else did, hoping to dismiss any hints at her mechanic nature. Lyn raised a curious brow plate, and Ester fell silent quickly. They all stood awkwardly for a moment before Leif raised his arm to check his purple omni-tool.
“Well we better get there soon! Otherwise its going to fill up tonight!” Everyone nodded in agreement and Lyn grabbed her clutch bag from the table, leaving through the door as the party crammed into the back of the limo.
As Leif gathered the glasses and the champaign bottle, Galen looked at the krogan with a warning glare, as he was not going with them this evening by Lyn’s request. Mycroft coked his head to the side with a curious glance as Galen drew his gun, giving a questioning look to the krogan and pointing at it, as if asking if he was armed. Mycroft chuckled and raised his own pistol, a custom Paladin with a laser sight, scope, stunner, and resized to be absolutely massive, as if to say that he was very well armed. Galen gave an impressed nod and ducked back into the house to catch tonight’s episode of “Thessia’s Got Talent.”
…
They arrived soundly at the club, as a line for non-VIP guests extended far. They bypassed it and entered the loud area with swagger. Lyn had only done this kind of thing a few times and it made her feel so powerful when she did. Here she was, using her fame to get her way, and it felt so deliciously good! She shrugged at the impatience of the other patrons outside and they made their way to a lounge area near the stage. It was empty, yet there was a salarian with a clipboard standing at its side in wait. They all began taking seats on a couch. Lyn and Ester sat on opposite sides, and Leif made like he was going to sit in between them, when he jolted upright.
“Well, I’m going to leave you two ladies to have fun while I go molest the bar. See ya’ll!” He said energetically before pecking Ester on the fringe with a kiss and vaulting over the couch, leaving Lyn alone with Ester. They smiled and laughed at Leif’s abandonment, both still feeling a little shy.
“I swear, he’s a strange fellow isn’t he?” Lyn said, before they fell into the awkwardness again. Lyn had to break the silence somehow, she thought. Wait, Leif said Ester was a singer! Perfect!
“So Estrica, Leif told me that you sing for a living too?” Lyn asked, gently taking a glass of wine from a passing waiter’s tray as he offered it to the guests. Ester took one as well, but paid it little attention.
“Well, I’m actually pretty dependent on Leif financially. I’m nowhere near as popular or good as you Lyn.” She said, belittling herself.
“Hey! I’m supposed to be the modest one here!” Lyn said with a laugh. It seemed that this was getting easier and both found that pleasing.
“Okay, I’m pretty good, but still, I usually work at places like this. It’s mostly for fun though.”
“Well you seem to be a pretty fun person! Your dress certainly says so!” Lyn gestured at it, giving an impressed smile, similar to her brother’s.
“Thanks, Leif bought it for me… well, actually I designed it and he had it made, but that’s the gist.”
“Really?! That’s an amazing skill! I’ll have to get you to make me one!” Lyn said, being very truthful. She was actually a little jealous of Ester at the moment. They smiled again, but the fear began creeping up. Another topic of discussion had to be made!
“So, what’s your favorite kind of music to sing?” Ester asked, already knowing since she looked up Lyn’s most recent interview, or so she thought.
“Actually, I’ve been taking a liking to ancient human songs!” Lyn stated. “But mostly from aroung the 21st century.” This caught Ester off guard. But, mostly because she would say the same.
“You’re kidding! I love those kinds of songs too! I researched them all the time when I was… erm… moving here!” Ester said, almost explicitly stating that her interest was sparked when the Geth were developing her code.
“Yeah, I was studying their styles to get a new kind of beat when I came across an alternative band called… Gah, I can’t pronounce this… Flow Rats and the Machina?” Lyn asked, pointing at the human letters on her omnitool as she looked them up again. Ester understood quite clearly however.
“Florence and the Machine.” She politely corrected. “I actually have all of her songs on my tool right now!” It was then that Ester realized what they should do.
“You know, it’s open mic night here. You know their song ‘Delilah?’” Ester said. Lyn’s eyebrows raised and she jumped up, excited.
“Yes! That’s my favorite! Let’s do it!” Ester laughed at her response and stood with her as they ran to the salarian managing the mic.
…
“Drink it you twat.” Leif said to Mycroft, who nonchalantly declined the lonely turian. Mycroft and Leif were good friends, so their professional relationship was a little unconventional. Leif was pressing a krogan sized shotglass to his butler, trying to get him to join in the fun. Snce Ester and Lyn were doing their own thing, Leif was bored out of his mind. He couldn’t find one person to eat tonight, the strippers were all asari, which were not to his liking, and he just wanted a damn drinking buddy.
“No Leif, since I’m your driver that’s illegal.” Mycroft stated.
“We’ll make Ester drive.”
“She’s drinking too.”
“Trust me, alcohol doesn’t do shit to her.” Leif said, downing another of his own shots. He had a huge tray of assorted drinks ready. Still, Mycroft remained adamant. Leif had one last card to play though!
“I’ve known you for a whole lot of years, and there’s one thing that is certain. Your name’s not really Mycroft is it?”
“… try to keep up mother fucker.” Mycroft stated as he swiftly downed two glasses at once, slamming them onto the table upside down.
…
Attention began to shift to the stage as the lights shifted to focus on a pair of turians. One dark in color and the other bright and gold. A piano cord struck.
I'm drifting through the halls with the sunrise
Holding on for your call
Climbing up the walls for that flashing light
I can never let go
Cause I'm gonna be free and I'm gonna be fine
Holding on for your call
Cause I'm gonna be free and I'm gonna be fine
Maybe not tonight
Now the sun is up and I'm going blind
Holding on for your call
Another drink just to pass the time
I can never say no
Cause I'm gonna be free and I'm gonna be fine
Holding on for your call
Cause I'm gonna be free and I'm gonna be fine
Maybe not tonight
It's a different kind of danger
And the bells are ringing out
And I'm calling for my mother
As I pull the pillars down
It's a different kind of danger
And my feet are spinning around
Never knew I was a dancer
'Till Delilah showed me how
The music cut back, building with a series of piano cords. During this peace, Ester told Lyn something. At first, she seemed to be afraid, but Ester supported her and they nodded.
Too fast for freedom
Sometimes it all falls down
These chains never leave me
I keep dragging them around
Lyn jumped from the stage just as the song picked up, a golden orange platform appearing below her , catching her above the audience and holding her. It was a platform generated from Ester’s advanced omnitool, with bright and glowing particle effects shooting about the place.
Now I'm dancing with Delilah and her vision is mine
Holding on for your call
Ester jumped to another that appeared, circling around Lyn’s.
A different kind of danger in the daylight
I can never let go
Took anything to cut you, I can find
Holding on for your call
A different kind of a danger in the daylight
Can't you let me know?
Now it's one more boy and it's one more lie
Holding on for your call
Taking the pills just to pass the time
I can never say no
Cause I'm gonna be free and I'm gonna be fine
Holding on for your call
Cause I'm gonna be free and I'm gonna be fine
Maybe not tonight
Ester jumped from her moving platform and they leaned on each other’s back.
It's a different kind of danger
And the bells are ringing out
And I'm calling for my mother
As I pull the pillars down
It's a different kind of danger
And my feet are spinning around
Never knew I was a dancer
'Till Delilah showed me how
Now I'm dancing with Delilah and her vision is mine
Holding on for your call
A different kind of danger in the daylight
I can never let go
Took anything to cut you, I can find
Holding on for your call
A different kind of a danger in the daylight
Can't you let me know?
Ester stood back and began to vocalize as Lyn continued singing.
Strung up, strung out for your love
Hang in, hung up, it's so rough
I'm wrung and ringing out
Why can't you let me know?
After this, Ester began to sing as well.
Strung up, strung out for your love
Hang in, hung up, it's so rough
I'm wrung and ringing out
Why can't you let me know?
It's a different kind of danger
And the bells are ringing out
And I'm calling for my mother
As I pull the pillars down
It's a different kind of danger
And my feet are spinning around
Never knew I was a dancer
'Till Delilah showed me how
(x2)
Too fast for freedom
Sometimes it all falls down
These chains never leave me
I keep dragging them around
The song faded out followed by the applause of everyone stunned by the amazingness of it all. The lights, the platforms, the powerful and fast paced song! It was beautiful! Lyn and Ester stood on stage, grinning with pride at the way they performed. It seemed that they were the stars for tonight.
…
The returned to the bar at the end of their reveling, looking for Leif since they were ready to go home. They quickly found him by the shouting sounds as well as the commotion from a turian and krogan pair. It was a strange sight. Leif’s head was stuck in Mycroft’s mouth, as a flurry of slurred, muffled speech was heard inside.
“Come on Mycroft, I gotta know what it’s like!” Leif shouted in his drunken stupor. Mycrogt gagged and spewed some unidentifiable words from the mouthful. Ester laughed and pulled him out with a wet sound. Leif smelled of alcohol, and it was likely from both his own drinking as well as the krogan’s spit. Incidentally, Mycroft was also plastered. They stood next to each other in a line and raised their arms in a salute.
“Much appreciated ma’am.” Mycroft stated, before they both fell backwards stiff, thudding on the ground passed out. Lyn and Ester both smiled and laughed.
“I’ll carry the big one.” Ester said.

“I’ve known you for a whole lot of years, and there’s one thing that is certain. Your name’s not really Mycroft is it?”

Can't you let me know?
Now it's one more boy and it's one more lie
Holding on for your call
Taking the pills just to pass the time
I can never say no
Cause I'm gonna be free and I'm gonna be fine
Holding on for your call
Cause I'm gonna be free and I'm gonna be fine
Maybe not tonight
Ester jumped from her moving platform and they leaned on each other’s back.
It's a different kind of danger
And the bells are ringing out
And I'm calling for my mother
As I pull the pillars down
It's a different kind of danger
And my feet are spinning around
Never knew I was a dancer
'Till Delilah showed me how
Now I'm dancing with Delilah and her vision is mine
Holding on for your call
A different kind of danger in the daylight
I can never let go
Took anything to cut you, I can find
Holding on for your call
A different kind of a danger in the daylight
Can't you let me know?
Ester stood back and began to vocalize as Lyn continued singing.
Strung up, strung out for your love
Hang in, hung up, it's so rough
I'm wrung and ringing out
Why can't you let me know?
After this, Ester began to sing as well.
Strung up, strung out for your love
Hang in, hung up, it's so rough
I'm wrung and ringing out
Why can't you let me know?
It's a different kind of danger
And the bells are ringing out
And I'm calling for my mother
As I pull the pillars down
It's a different kind of danger
And my feet are spinning around
Never knew I was a dancer
'Till Delilah showed me how
(x2)
Too fast for freedom
Sometimes it all falls down
These chains never leave me
I keep dragging them around
The song faded out followed by the applause of everyone stunned by the amazingness of it all. The lights, the platforms, the powerful and fast paced song! It was beautiful! Lyn and Ester stood on stage, grinning with pride at the way they performed. It seemed that they were the stars for tonight.
…
The returned to the bar at the end of their reveling, looking for Leif since they were ready to go home. They quickly found him by the shouting sounds as well as the commotion from a turian and krogan pair. It was a strange sight. Leif’s head was stuck in Mycroft’s mouth, as a flurry of slurred, muffled speech was heard inside.
“Come on Mycroft, I gotta know what it’s like!” Leif shouted in his drunken stupor. Mycrogt gagged and spewed some unidentifiable words from the mouthful. Ester laughed and pulled him out with a wet sound. Leif smelled of alcohol, and it was likely from both his own drinking as well as the krogan’s spit. Incidentally, Mycroft was also plastered. They stood next to each other in a line and raised their arms in a salute.
“Much appreciated ma’am.” Mycroft stated, before they both fell backwards stiff, thudding on the ground passed out. Lyn and Ester both smiled and laughed.
“I’ll carry the big one.” Ester said.
