Ester strolled to the souvenir shop on the Citadel. She looked about the place and smiled at all the wonderful little models and various knick-knacks that were scattered about for purchase. She was about to check out when she noticed a strange sight. Before her was a cat, an anthro cat that was colored cobalt blue. She smiled at him and tilted her head. Surprisingly, this was the first time that she had seen such a creature in person. She was well aware of the humans and how they could get these changes (and even knew how to perform said procedures through her extranet searches), yet, for some reason, she felt surprised to see one in real life. It would be significant to her research if she practiced interacting with one. This led her to approach him.
Sparky was reading up on some details on a certain kind of cream that he was interested in purchasing from a nearby store in the bazar-like area. He was browsing from a “human” box onto the larger displays in the distance. As he came to decide against his purchase, a dark skinned turian with bright blue facial markings and an equally beautiful dress approached from the side with a wide smile on her face. She seemed friendly enough but certainly wanted to interact with him in particular. It seemed strange to Spark, but he was always open to interaction.
“Hello, my name’s Estrica.” She said, suddenly realizing the awkwardness of this situation. Leif had warned her not to simply approach people like this, otherwise they’d find her strange to say the least. It made her look out of place and that was dangerous. Fortunately, Sparky was a friendly sort and it seemed that her awkwardness would be disregarded.
“Nice to meet you Estrica, my name’s Sparky.” He replied, seeing Ester’s apprehension. “Was there something I could help you with ma’am?”
“Oh, not really…I’ve just never seen an anthro before and I’d thought it’d be fun to get to know one.” She hoped that “anthro” or furry was the politically correct term. If not, she ran the risk of offending this person and that violated her passive protocol system. Unreasonable offense draws unnecessary attention. She then thought back to the time she punched the krogan in the face. Yeah…that one was reasonable, she concluded.
“Aw, I’m flatterd thank you!” Sparky said, and he was telling the truth. This was a beautiful alien before him and she was interested in getting to know him. However, he could tell by instinct that she was taken in a romantic sense. “You know, if you’d like to talk there’s a coffee store nearby?”
“Alright, I know the place. Don’t worry, I’ll pay.” Ester said, reaching her hand out to pick up the small cat. He smiled and stepped onto the hand, being brought close to her torso as she lifted him up. It was similar to the feeling as one accelerated upwards in an elevator. He sat on the hand and they approached the shop down the long walkway. They came to a stop at the store before them, and Ester sat Sparky on a table outside it, claiming the spot for the pair as she went inside with their order. Sparky admired the rather entertaining turn of events that has transpired today. He grew even happier when Ester returned with their drinks.
She set the small cup onto the solid table before Sparky as well as another table his size for him to eat on. It was common practice for restaurants to have these to be accommodating for their multiple species parties that decided to dine at that particular location. Ester sipped on a simple tea as Sparky broke the ice.
“So what do you do here Ester? For a career?”
“Well, I’m currently doing a study for sociology, but I sing on the side for some extra money.”
“That’s cool, what kind of study?” Sparky asked, lightly fiddling with his cup as he was much more interested in Ester.
“It’s ah… a bit complicated.” Sparky took a moment, thinking about this when he realized something?
“Oh, I get it! You’re studying me!” He said with a chuckle, smiling wide in pride at his own wits.
“W-what? Oh, erm, no, I was…” Ester was at a loss for words when she remembered to regain her composure. Remember, the best way to lie is to make it the truth.
“Hehe, yeah, you caught me. I’ve been seeing how other species interact with turians, but since there are so few anthros like yourself…” Ester gestured toward him and shrugged.
“Well then you should be taking notes!” Sparky said.
“Oh, don’t worry about that. I have a powerful memory.” She said, tapping her head with her talon. 60 zettabytes in fact, she thought. Sparky shrugged at this and continued on.
“Alright then so what do you want to know?”
“Well, for starters, I would need to compare your typical personality type to an average human’s, as your kind are technically classified as a sub-category of humanity.”
“RIiiiiight?” Sparky said, having no idea where this was going.
“Well, how old are you?” Sparky gave her his age and she nodded, recording the data.
“That means you grew up before the consumption reforms. It’s pretty important for the timeline. What was it like growing up under turian authority?”
“Oh I had no problems with them. Most turians that I grew up with were very kind to me and my family. Even back then, people would ask each other before eating them, despite the fact that it was still legal to do it to an unwilling person.”
“When did you get your genetic alterations?” Ester asked, referring to his cat body.
“Only a few years before the reforms, when I was a teenager.”
“Really? Your parents let you change your very species at that age?”
“Oh yeah, they were pretty progressive.”
“Did you get any more…predatory attention from turians because of your change?” She asked, cocking her head.
“Definitely, turians, asari, krogan, you name it!”
“How do you feel about that? Your choice made people more interested in eating you. Did that affect your overall feelings on the subject?”
“Well, I’ve actually been interested in the idea of being eaten, but I really don’t like the end result.” Sparky said, fiddling at his thumbs, feeling a little awkward. Why was he telling this to a stranger?
“You mean being digested?” Ester asked matter of factly.
“Er…yeah.” He said.
“You know, some turians believe that when that happens, they absorb the spirit of the prey in that situation, and they live on in their bodies.” She asked, wondering if this would alter his opinion.
“I know, I’ve been told that a few times, especially back before the first reforms. As much as I trust the turians, think that bit of info was propaganda at the time.”
“Interesting. So, if you could be eaten without dying, would you?” Ester asked, an idea growing in her head.
“I would love for that to happen!” Sparky said, fantasizing in his mind. “Actually, I’d ask you to do it if you could!”
Ester was pleasantly taken aback by this comment. It made her sit up and chuckle a little nervously. She had eaten a person before, but he was long since processed so he couldn’t tell anyone else what he saw inside her. She had the capabilities of eating this tiny guy, and not digesting him. Yet, she was uncertain about revealing her secrets to him. Although, she has said a lot already. Still, a little more probing is necessary.
“I… er, I’m also studying public opinion on AI development. Would you mind if I asked your opinions on that?” Ester said. Damn it, she thought, I forgot the concept of “transitions” as Leif put it. That looked like it came out of nowhere.
“Nice Segway to that.” Sparky said with a chuckle. “Well, I honestly have no problem on that. AI are like people right? People don’t want to brutally murder other species. That’s why we can talk to each other right now right?”
Ester nodded. She agreed with what he said. She knew that the Geth had the potential to exterminate organics, yet, the consensus would never agree to that. It served no purpose other than security, which is not as important in their opinion as others would have expected.
“That’s a pretty new opinion. Do you think that is from your parent’s progressiveness or did you make this opinion on your own?”
“…I think that I would have agreed to this sooner or later. They just catalyzed it.” Sparky took a moment to think about this one. It was a rather strange ideology question.
Ester simply nodded in agreement. She didn’t know why, but she felt confident in this human. It was more than what her probability calculators in her system were stating. It was instinct.
“Well Sparky, I have a proposition for you.” Ester said, smiling happily at the small anthro. She felt like it was time to start sharing secrets. Of course, she was definitely putting this data on an external drive. The geth would be very unhappy at this. Sparky slurped at his drink, a little surprised at her statement. What had all of this been leading up to?
“What if I could eat you right now and you could walk away from it later?” Ester leaned in, hoping to keep this all a secret. Sparky raised his eyebrow, not believing Ester’s statement. Such a thing has never been done aside from a trip to the hospital. At least with a turian since they can’t vomit. An asari would be able to, but it would be very violent on their bodies.
“Ester what are you saying?”
“Sparky, I’m not a real turian. I’m an AI in a mech designed to look like one. I have a functioning digestive tract that you can experience unharmed.” Ester said, sure that nobody heard her. Sparky looked at her before shaking his head.
“I’m going to nee-” Ester interrupted him by spewing a stream of information at him, due to her extranet search and accessing his data connection. She stated his birthday, each password he uses, and finished with a list of his most recent pornographic downloads.
“I- uh… how did you know all of that?!” Sparky asked, caught off guard.
“Sparky I just hacked your omnitool and read all that data. Here’s the time stamp.” Ester showed him her own omnitool, which had various readings and data for him to see. Sparky couldn’t believe this. He smiled wide and happy. Would this finally be his opportunity?
“You said y-you can eat me ma’am, and I won’t be harmed?” He said, ignoring his now spilled drink that he dropped in his excitement. Ester reached over with a napkin and wipped up the mess, nodding comfortingly to her next prey. Of course, he wasn’t really prey, more like a…tenant.
“As long as you don’t tell my secret that is.” Ester said with a wink. She reached out her hand for Sparky to step in. He walked into her palm gladly, and sat down. Ester’s hand curled up around his body, cradling him like a comforting cage. The elevator feeling came again as she raised him to her face. Her mandibles clicked about her jaws, excited to eat Sparky.
Ester opened her mouth before him, letting Sparky get a look inside Ester’s glowing blue maw. Saliva decorated the area, making Sparky squirm in delight at the sight. He reached out to touch the tongue that extended out to lick at his body, covering his body in spit. Sparky giggled at it all and wiped the spit from his eyes.
“You ready sparky?”
“Yes ma’am!” He replied, barely able to contain his excitement.
With that, Ester opened her mouth again and eased Sparky into it, feet first, sliding his back across the tongue as he entered the mouth. Those black “lips” sealed behind him as Ester moaned in pleasure at his flavor. She had previously assigned a positive association to the flavor of a tiny person from the last time she ate another person.
Sparky squirmed against the tongue as it wrestled with his body playfully, thoroughly covering his body in the slimy saliva. Meanwhile, Ester decided that it was time to stop playing with him and tipped her head up high. She let out a gulp as Sparky slid down into her throat. The saliva around him made a wet sound as he descended into her.
All of Ester’s insides glowed softly, soothing Sparky’s mind with its appearance. Eventually, he slid into the stomach with a wet smack. Inside around him was the iced tea that Ester drank earlier. Fortunately, it was heated by her natural…or unnatural, as it seemed body heat. The water felt similar to a heated bath. It was soothing to him and rubbed on the inside of the softly glowing stomach walls. Ester patted her belly, gently shaking the water in it.
“Wow Ester! This place is amazing! It’s like a hot tub in here!” Sparky said. She cuddled her belly and smiled, when an idea popped into her head. She activated certain servos inside her body, making the belly vibrate in a soothing manner. Sparky understood what was happening and lay with his back against the stomach wall. It felt like a massage chair that eased the tension in his body. Ester let this go on for a few minute before letting it all settle. She stood and moved to a more private alleyway to talk to her stomach.
“You enjoying your stay little guy?”
“Oh yes ma’am. How long do I get to stay in here?” Sparky asked, rubbing the walls affectionately.
“As long as you like Sparky.” I gotta get on with my day now, so let me know when you want out.
With that, Ester went about her day, shopping, singing, observing alien behavior. Certainly though, her findings were monumental today and made her excited for future exploits.
Have fun you guys.

As much as I prefer turian males, this was quite interesting to read. Ester is a sweetheart and also quite relaxed about her security, isn't she?
I have to say that I quite agree with 'being uncertain about the end result' of the whole vore thing, death is still death after all. As pleasant as it may be in this universe it still makes sure that you will never enjoy a friend's company in quite the same way ever again, not try that one thing you always wanted to try, be unable to just laze around for another day doing nothing, you won't able to interact with anyone... This is the reason why the casual aspect of vore frightens me a bit. While your other stories, namely Chasing Ghosts and Out of the Pizza Pan manage to avoid that particular issue. In both cases the humans sacrificed themselves for something more than just a snack to be forgotten. Hanna managed to actually change Saren's opinion about her entire race, which is quite the feat indeed, while Markus helped Garrus discover that consuming people could indeed be greatly enjoyable for both parties, he was the turian's first. I wonder if that could be considered selfish, what's your take on this? I'm curious.
Sorry this comment ended up consisting mostly of my rumblings, but your stories get me thinking and I can't help it! D:
