if you remember these boots it be from here http://www.furaffinity.net/view/14731204/ and their back with some fashion this time. sporting beads, trinkets, lace and belts, they went for a more stylish gypsy look. a fitting look for a pair of wandering boots wouldn't you say?
for those who don't know about what these are, this is a weird idea i made up when i was literally bored to tears one night. realizing a anthro muzzle could fit the same shape and form on a shoe. weird at first i had to see if i can get it made. thanks to the many talented artist i met online i find out it is quite possible :D and despite how weird it is i have gotten positive feed back about the idea from random viewers on FA some even saying their want a pair.
i plan to have more made in the future, a sort of small character list you can say, all being different types of footware and animal muzzles. the basic idea of monster shoes is their companions one can wear. their alive and can speak, intelligent but also loyal too. i haven't had time to really spit and polish the idea since i made them (real life is tough) so i hope to get a little time off to work on this idea more and smooth ideas out. but if you can any questions feel free to ask :)

I still really love this concept of yours! The idea of different living shoes would be a really treat to see. Especially if you explore other types of footwear and mix and match their animalistic qualities.
I believe I recall you originally outlining that a wearer's feet kind of "disappear" once inside them, but I'm still enamored with the possibility of having the feet show up inside their mouths under the shoe's control if they'd like. Either the feeling of having your foot coddled by the "beast" or them transforming your feet into their own big, sloppy foot-tongues sounds like a lot of fun!
By the way, have you ever seen the sets of living toon shoes I've commissioned from Eccentric Chimera?

i have seen your living shoes and your concept but honestly i don't think it would work for my shoes. they need room to talk and if a foot was in their mouths it just get in the way. even the idea of the foot turned into their sort of tongue would be a bit much for my idea. interesting but not for my shoes X3 honestly the insole idea Darkoni made up is actually more practical and clever. i mean it's already in it's mouth so why not have it as the second tongue?
and yes, originally the idea was and still is that feet disappear when inside of the shoe, basically replacing the foot while the actual foot is in a comfy pocket dimension like that of a shoe. however over time some friends of mine had the idea that the foot is more likely just hidden, in a pocket above the maw. either idea sounds fine but if i had to pick the pocket dimension myself :3 it sounds alot more interesting.
recently some friends of mine came up with the neat idea of having a character made whose feet were replace by a pair of living shoes. i don't think they recall my gunslinger http://www.furaffinity.net/view/12082672/ but they had the idea of the shoes actually fused to them, forever being their feet. not sure when we will see this idea made but someday i hope

That's alright. Making the wearer's foot part of the creatures' "abilities" is really the only big suggestion I can come up with to share. Not that you're looking for them. It's just a trait that always amuses me, as you've seen in those pieces. I do very much like their insoles being their normal tongues as it is, however. :D

ah endling. haven't seen his work in AGES. totally forgot about jack. honestly his "fairy tail insane asylum" is a interesting idea that should be made into a actual comic. like Fable with fairy tales living in the world hidden from us.
sneakers are one, high heels will be interesting to see done. but mostly anything that looks cool or pretty to be turned into monster shoes. thinking of haveing some punk goth boots maybe with studs. should be interesting to see a few shoes that accessories :)

I would have liked to have found Endling's stuff when it was just getting going. By the time I came across it, it seemed well worn and I wasn't sure how to dive in. So I didn't do much more than browse around randomly. Seemed like it'd be comic fodder!

ah thats always been a fun question. normally each set of monster shoes are of one mind. i would say to find a set where each shoe was it's own person would be rare to find. for sets of shoes with each shoe it's own mind you need to have all the shoes there or else the shoes you got are not very responsive. think of it as a love bird without it's mate in a way.
it can only hop than walk and can no longer run with out it's sibling shoe and no one else to talk too. they would need a replacement which is a hard choice for them to make since they lost a life mate. the replacement normally being another shoe that has also lost a part of itself (it's sibling shoe or a part of itself like it's left shoe) of course that can be tricky since the shoes need to be the same height and all. can't walk about with a high heel boot and a sneaker can you now?

A pocket below the maw seems more convenient for the wearer. With anything else the wearer would have to relearn how to walk.
I've got a few questions about the living boots:
Does a pair share consciousness, or are they separate persons?
If separate, what would happen if a pair quarrels?
Can they see? Can there be a situation when the boots act as a guide to a blind (e.g. boots can see in dim light, but for the wearer it's too dark)?
How well can they walk on their own? Can they walk home a drunk wearer who has fallen asleep?
Can the boots get intoxicated? How would that manifest?
Are they some kind of animal that can reproduce more or less naturally, or are they only created artificially?
What about their sexual life? Can they be attracted to each other? To another pair? To non-boot creatures?
How do domestic dogs treat them? Are dogs scared? Playful? Hostile? Are boots afraid of being chewed? Or can they defend themselves?
Can they peek up skirts? If yes, do they want to? If no, are they accused anyway?

If separate, what would happen if a pair quarrels? 2. they be useless shoes then if they stand a bicker and not walk. shoes try to keep arguments to a minimum as possible, even with other shoes they don't like.
Can they see? Can there be a situation when the boots act as a guide to a blind (e.g. boots can see in dim light, but for the wearer it's too dark)? 3. they can see, yes. they can be used for the disabled and blind as well when needed, even those who lost their feet or even legs. Thankyou very much. The accessories though go to West though, for it was her idea to add em on.
