Maybe I Could Get Used to This 'Betrothed' Thing

And they said it would be "so weird", eh? XD
This drawing was actually a very special request from kata-97 (kata-97.deviantart.com), a friend of mine over Kik who wanted me to draw cub Simba and Nala in a pose like this. I really liked the idea, so I chose to give it a shot. The result is what you see here, with the two of them having a tender moment at sunset. (Presumably the day before the stampede.) I think it came out absolutely wonderful, and I’m very happy to have accepted my friend’s request. I guess you could see this as more or less a remake of “Let Me See You Smile”, one of my older illustrations that looks a lot like this one.
This is the first time I’ve ever drawn cub Simba and Nala, and my first attempt at Simba at all on here. Yet another character I’ve admittedly been giving the cold shoulder in my art, I’ve been meaning to include him for some time now. I don’t know why, but he took me a longer time to draw than I anticipated. Something about him was just harder, I can’t quite put my finger on it. But either way, I finally gave it my best shot, and I managed to get him to look right. Same with Nala here. Hopefully now I can start drawing them more often.
This will likely be the last drawing I’ll be able to do in Photoshop, at least for a while. The only class period I have access to it is about to end (with the last day coming up and all), and I won’t be able to get to use it again until summer ends. Personally, I’m going to miss using it. Photoshop has proven to be leaps and bounds better than Seashore (My usual program), and if I could, I’d work with it full time. Oh well.

I think Simba and Nala begin to rethink of what Zazu said, and I think they kind of had to admit it, they liked each other. But of course, they won't fully admit their love until their reunion as adult lions.
