I put in some quality time on Brio today. It's hard to tell but he got a complete snout-ectomy to lower the placement. I’m still not happy with his cheek bones, but the curvature of his upper jaw finally is falling into place.

His brow ridges have been super frustrating too. His concept art has horns and big accent scales on the sides of his face, and i wanted to do something really cool and realistic by casting a pair of the horns i have, but I'm thingking i might have to sculpt everything. head. neck, everything...

To say that i have felt artistically challenged by this commission is an understatement. Between my xacto accident, things ramping up at my boutique, and the pressures of grown up life bearing down on me, I've been in the doldrums and feeling very blocked and uninspired lately.

But today his mushy clay face looked at me and said "listen, bitch; work on me or I'll poop in your shoe."

Ultimately I know he'll be very rewarding, but apparently also a bit of a sassy jerk

He's still miles from done, but something tells me he won't let himself stay that way for long ;)
