The day before I started painting Taharon's commission I did some sketching on the general idea I had for the plane which the character would be posing on. The bottom sketch I used the next day as base for the proper image, while I looked up some vintage aircraft engines on google to develop the exposed engine parts.

The sketch on the right was an idea I had for the background, but I'll most likely do a proper aircraft carrier instead.
