This was something that actually happened to me in high school. I was quiet, never bothered anyone yet they would talk crap about me even when I'm standing right there. I didn't exactly have anyone I felt I could talk to back then or anyone I could call a friend.

A little back story for this strip:
After P.E. class we'd all have to change in a locker room. Yes I was one of those kind of kids. I had a lot going on in my personal life and preferred that others wouldn't see my terrible secret. Anyways, I chose to change in one of the bathroom stalls in the locker room after class rather than in front of everyone. Just as I started changing two other students started talking about me and made sure they were loud enough for me to hear clearly what they had to say. It really hurt and even though it's been 7 years it bothers me that I didn't stand up for myself more.

I've definitely changed a lot since then and I would just love to relive that particular part of my past as the person I am today to show them who the hell they're messing with!


I've been a lot better about the whole self harm issue but to all those out there relying on it just know you matter and people care. Sometimes you can find support in the most unlikely of places just don't use a blade for escape. My heart goes out to all of you.
