And if I thought drawing a truck was a nightmare, drawing a bunch of boats in a marina was about 50 times worse. Luckily, for this particular sequence I had the help of a friend who was a brilliant draftsman on some of the trickier layouts. I'm pretty sure he did the second panel on the top right. I do know the Viking longboat was something he put in there just to be silly.

This is where the art/mechanic breakdown is.
I'm a Whiz at drafting up machines and making them out of metal.
But the moment I don't have exact dimensions and tolerances and a Bill Of Materials List I'm lost.
I can make a machine gun out of a block of steel.
But give me a wood lathe and I can't do a damn thing.
I need to know how many thousands of an inch.
A Picture? No I can't make that.

What year was the original art made? Some tone screens I've used had a nasty tendency to shrink over the years. These look like they scanned quite cleanly. I assume you start at 600dpi or greater.
