Another one? I wonder who, or what, this could be as well.
-- Yep.
-- Moving some of the shape out. Basic, but you have to start somewhere. It'll take form soon enough.
-- Awfully bulky at the top...
-- I'm going straight towards pulling the shape out, although I really should have fixed a few things as I was going down the whole time. I'll have to fix that later. Rather, I should do it as soon as I get back to modeling so I don't have to worry about doing it later.
-- ExtrudeFastTM! The fastest way to slim!!
-- This took way longer than it was supposed to. Spent too much time on it, but I'm glad how it came out. I thought digitigrade feet were hard. This was just ugh.
-- A tail. It'll look better with texture and stuff.
-- You know, I previously said that the hardest things to model were the feet, the hands, and the head. In my opinion, getting harder in that order. But, this was actually not hard at all. I think it looks good, albeit the 2 inner fingers seems a bit thick. Rather, the nail seems a bit thick. And of course need a bit more smoothing around the finger base. Other than that, I'm quite happy how hand came out so far, and am happy at how fast ("fast") I was able to make it. The arms didn't really take any time at all, so I can finish them once I attach the hands and make a few tweaks around shoulders.... with an "s"....
-- Who might this be? Well, as you can see, I changed the body color to a bluish-gray color, and there are arms. 4 of them! I still need to do a bit of work on the hands and arms. I finally started with the torso, but maybe I should get the back first since there's less detail. I'll be so happy when I finish with this section so I can finally move onto the head and texturing so I can be done. Whoever this might be, sorry it's taking so long.
-- Sorry it's been a while since an update. It doesn't actually take so long to make a model. Even an organic one. Just that when you get bombarded with other stuff, and people (often the same ones you are being bombarded with requests by) keep destroying your motivation, it's hard to continue. Anyway, here is the head and horns. Sorry I couldn't take more progress shots. I forgot when making the head, and I just really need to finish this.
-- Again, sorry for the lack of better progress shots, just trying to get this done. Here here the teeth, the eyes, the ears, and even the texture. When making the eyes, I didn't want to just make them all black, but I have to follow the reference. But I did see on the reference, what looks to be a gray lens on the edge of the eye, so I used gray for the eye lens.
-- Here is a test render. I need to do a little work with the area around the eyes, and I don't like how the nostrils look when smoothed. I also don't like how the lips look, but not really sure how to proceed with that. I didn't want to just throw another texture smile up there. That's lazy. I like how the horns came out, although they need more texture, and I think they need to be more shiny. There needs to be a shininess map made as well.
and 14 -- I drew these months ago as an attempt to redesign Cheery's ship based on his reference here (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/14010132/) and here (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/14432765/). They aren't drawn to scale, although 13 should be 14 since I think that was drawn slightly later and was meant to be drawn more to scale. I didn't pay that close of attention to the drawing when making this, and just kinda modeled freely. Although the drawing was not meant to be exact anyway and more of a guideline.
-- The ship is coming along nicely, although it looks too fat and of course it's not finished. It needs more detail.
-- I spent ALL NIGHT on this darn thing. And this ship wasn't even meant to have guns! I think. I just figured it'd have some say to defend itself in space. Meh, This better be worth it...
-- The somewhat finished ship from the side.
-- The front view of the ship so far. The more I look at the cannons, the less I like them. At least from the front. I think they look just fine from the sides. Then again, it was always meant to kind of look a bit alien, and it's not not textured, rendered, or even done yet. Aside from adding more detail, and even an array of missiles (not sure if should keep or not...I don't think it's a battleship...), I've been adding arms and changing gears and stuff.
-- The clothes. Sorry I couldn't take a more step by step picturing of this. I was just trying to gun it to finish. They are shorts and a long shirt jacket robe thing.
-- A test render. I don't have a texture yet, but Here is a render for a front to side angle.
-- The textured clothes. I don't really know about materials. I was guessing a kind of polyester? But I suppose you can think of the top half and the white strip as leather.
-- This is what I was doing today around the time the errors came in and I had to go. I'm at the final stretch.
-- The textured ship. I made this a day or so ago, but didn't take a picture before the last few pictures.
-- Another test render. The ship isn't shown, but everything else is. If you're wondering what that big thing is in the back, it's the unscaled version of his holo-wand. It's supposed to fit in his hand.
