"EFF Musical Parody: Tele-Vee-Shun"

It's been a long time since I'd posted the last 'musical parody' edition of my "EFF" ("Extraordinarily Fat Furries") comic strip, and I couldn't think of a better subject to tie in 'fat furs' with than the medium of television. And I couldn't think of a better song on the subject than "Tele-Vee-Shun", a tune written by the late Stan Freberg (who, sadly, passed on earlier this month; he was 88)...
Hopefully, I will pay homage to him with an upcoming journal, later in April, 2015. But, for now, this "EFF" comic gag will do...
I wrote a new lyric to the old song (with a Calypso beat)), as 'Rob Cat' shows an interest in a cooking program hosted by Food Network star Guy Fieri, and the aftermath of the bobcat's attempts to emulate him...
...Which brings up the other reason why I'd rendered this comic gag. Various health and nutrition organizations have found the latest excuse for America's 'obesity problem': too many cooking shows on TV! People would watch these shows, try to imitate the chefs in making their respective recipes, eat the final results of their labors, and subsequently gain weight (not to mention sharing their foodstuffs with friends and relatives, making them fatter in the process)! If Julia Child were alive to hear about this, it would probably kill her!
All the more reason why I paid tribute to television, and the popular radio satirist who poked fun at it (with his novelty recordings "St. George and the Dragonet", "Wunnerful, Wunnerful", "The Honeyearthers", etc.)
R.I.P., Stan... we will all miss you...
"...Tele-vee-shun, tele-vee-shun,
I'm sick at looking at tele-vee-shun.
I grow weak in the eyes,
Weak in the head likewise,
From sitting and watching that tele-vee-shun!..."*

I got to see Stan at WonderCon last year.. frail of body but full of spirit. And still funny. Stan was the man.
My advice to you, G.C., is to look for an out-of-print copy of "Tip Of The Freberg: The Stan Freberg Collection 1951-1998" (from Rhino), so you can see and hear more of his famous commercials and other incredible parodies...
Also I'm glad to talk to somebody like you!
