Crying out- a guitar piece
Hello, (turn up your bass for this but not too much. It's a raw recording.)
This song is dedicated to a true friend. My buddy Da.
He sent me a dual channel (Stereo) preamp that uses two 5670 vacuum tubes.
I am heavy into vacuum tubes. They have such a warm tone.
About the song, I play by ear. I play sounds that "Resonate with the pain in me"
It may sound middle- eastern. I know a lot of my more emotional songs do. I think because a lot of Muslims are searching for God but not finding Him, and it creates a lot of sorrow.
All my life I struggled with the idea of God. I became convinced He was a cruel sadist most of my life, as only that kind of a god could allow the things I endured as a child.
So now I am forced to confront my own beliefs, and while it brings healing, it also brings a lot of responsibility in my own life. A lot of struggles.
Apologies for the ground loop sound! I literally plugged everything in and forced myself to play. I told Da I would. It's been a year or more since I played like this. If you asked me to play this song again note for note I simply could not. It is what it is and I hope it touches you in some way.
Thank my friend Da for sending me the little tube preamp. I put it in the mix, the guitar runs through the preamp, into my pod xt pro, with a custom reverb and eq, then to USB as an ASIO.
Guitar is an Ibanez RG420S 7 string. If you have a subwoofer I hope you can hear the lows. (Turn it up)
I like being enveloped by music.
Art is from Antrage, that she drew for me a while back. It fits...

That is so very kind of you to say :) People say some times my guitar sounds like a Sitar, with a tinge of middle- eastern tone. The past ten years of my life I have lived in the desert, and it has had an effect on me.
I've learned to survive out here, I am at comfort in the elements. But you are correct, it is dangerous. In my opinion, the city I used to live is more dangerous, though...
