-with her body being so hot, cooling her down is the obvious choice to take her out. Not only will it end the battle, but she will turn solid, ready to be taken out for good. Douse her with water from any available source, and you can put her out like a candle.

Claire's parents worked for synthex, having been told that there research in genetics would help change the world. when Claire's parents found out what synthex was really doing, they decided to leave. synthex punished them by mutating their one and only child, claire. her power made her emit immense amounts of heat, which resluted in their house burning down. Synthex's reasoning was that “claire would never be able to feel her parents touch ever again”. claire's parents, in fear that synthex might do something worse to their daughter, rejoined the organization.

synthex created a suit that would not only let claire touch things without them burning, but would also let her turn her heat into fireballs and shoot them out as projectiles. claire took advantage of the suit, and used its power to break her parents out. they fled from new york and headed out to San Francisco, in hopes that the heroes there might be able to help them.


after staying with the heroes for quite some time, claire and her parents left San Francisco for a while, roaming the US helping others, while also running away from synthex, who had been trying to catch them ever since they escaped. Eventually they returned to aid in the final efforts to end synthex for good.
