The C&O / B&O "Moonlight Dome" currently under restoration in Stearns, KY for use by the Cincinnati Railway Company.
Was originally built by Budd Car Co. for the C&O Railway for "The Chessie" a planned but never utilized streamliner passenger train meant to be pulled by an experimental steam turbine locomotive. After the locomotive failed to perform as planned the train was cancelled and the "Moonlight Dome" sold to the B&O. From there she saw service on Amtrak and then private ownership.
Here shes being masked for final painting and then will be interchanged to the NS (CNO&TP) line to be taken to Cincinnati.

Actually a large number of dome cars have been preserved in America. They were a popular feature on American railroads with a large fleet of them being built. Many of them ended up in the hands of private owners such as this one. There's actually a club known as NARCOA for private railcar owners which hold special train runs every once in awhile.
