well that is how cuisines are made too.
gumbo was leftovers, chowmein (however its spelled) was left overs, etc!
maybe this will be a cuisine ;D in the future if it becomes popular.

Oh heres a fun fact... hush puppy were created by wadding up leftover fish breading to give the dogs to keep them quiet while the servants cooked ;) hence the name.
