Sorry about earlier, where I uploaded a not so good photo of this. I was rushing to get it copied over, but had problems, so just took a photo.
Anyway, this is my current project. Bigger, and hopefully better, than my last bottle world. Unlike the last, I'm making the environment for this as well.
No more photos. I have a few more things to make, then I can get to more texturing and materials and whatnot.
1 -- This is the new bottle. Bigger, more room. I accidentally made the bottom too narrow though. I was going to change it later on, but figured I'd just leave it there. Witness my mistake.
By the way, this darn thing is over 8,100 polygons! Way too much. The reason is because I used 64 sphere sections and slices. I should have used 32. It would have looked just as good, and used 1/4 the polygons.
2 -- The new holder. I said I wasn't going to make it all ornate like the last one, but did more than I wanted to at first. The bend tips were all I was going for. The rounded edges were extra.
3 -- I want to make an actual world, not just a glorified bottle garden. I hope I succeed.
4 -- A table I designed. The legs are wood, but the table is glass. The rim is stainless steel, or will be.
5 -- A basic garden room. Maybe it doesn't look so good? I forgot lights, so have to make those. Will add more stuff later.
6 -- I didn't want to render yet, but I couldn't resist, and I needed to see a few things. Looks alright, although not sure why the glass has that black border around it. I don't want the metal to be chrome like that, so I'll need to test that out a bit. Also the glass on the walls looks weird. It may look cool, maybe like there's a big round area in the window, but that's not intended. Also, I changed the floor texture. Aside from making it 2k instead of 1k (1024px), I changed the color to a kind of peach color. Looks better. I'll have to do something with that grout though.
7 -- Fixed the window glass. It has something to do with how the glass renders. I keep forgetting to add a transparent part to it as well. Maybe? The table glass is just a glass shader, but you can see through it. Also, I like that table glass. I need to do something with that table wood though.
8 -- Changed the lighting. This is after a few renders. Shows effects like glare and stuff, but makes too much noise.
9 -- Sorry for the noise. I'm trying to figure out how to get that out of the way. Of course, these are still test renders. I'm still in the process of making more models. Anyway, I changed the location of the lighting. Originally, the light was a standard light in the default place, which in this case, was just above the table. When I changed the lighting in the last panel, I changed it to a sun instead of a point light. That's why there was such a bright spot. And I'm sure that's where all the noise is coming from. But the point light isn't working so well. I'll do more with it.
10 -- A close up check of the bottle and table effect. Bottle needs some work, again. There goes that darn glare again. Think I'll stop test rendering for a bit and do the plants now.
