Vinci & Arty sequel arc (feature presentation) 0 page 5
I promise there's an actual title for the comic aside from "Vinci & Arty sequel". But since I'm considering this sort of a transition/ashcan/prologue arc 0 thing I'm not using it yet. :)
V&A readers will remember Graham the Texan tycoon! Looks like he has some help in the IT department now. Except Cody's pretty much what you get if you let Pinkie Pie loose in a server room. He's one of those characters I've intended to have in the story for YEARS and I'm just now getting to do it, so I'm all excited, coz' he's fun. :D
So what's this about a studio moving in??

I was waiting to see who'd be the first! Cody's a fun challenge; trying to make it so that his dialogue fits in yet doesn't detract from anything if the reader doesn't want to translate it.
I'm toying with whether I should change the cryptograms up with each arc or leave it consistent but offer up one-off puzzle pages with a completely different key every so often, and give the first person to decode it a free sketch. Leaning towards the latter. :)

Now that I'm finally working in IT, I SO totally relate to this page!
THEY = Management with iffy communication and planning skills and little understanding of IT.
Not that I know everything, mind you; just enough to know that putting a new system in place is not the same as ordering office supplies.

I actually consider Vinci & Arty the prequel to this one though! I've had Castor & Pollux's story in the works since V&A's first year online and I started actively writing it in 2006 and adapting V&A to connect to it. :) Some of the V&A elements were rewritten so that they could fit into the new continuity. But yeah, while I'm really hoping people connect to C&P like they did with V&A, I still think that the original two are the more developed at this point. :) But then again Castor and Pollux are both younger characters figuring out who they are and what they want at this point. :)
People learn what they use/love the most!
kikenenryu's father mentioned a dude who went to Japan but didn't speak the language, but he saw someone wearing a shirt with "I speak Klingon" on it... he talked to the guy in Klingon, and they were able to perfectly understand each other... being bilingual even in fake languages is still useful!
