If this character looks even remotely familiar to you, it's likely because it is. Does anyone remember this guy? http://oi33.tinypic.com/4ln3sz.jpg It's DaggerLeonelli's Ito-Fukachi, or "Fu" for short! I've loved this character for the longest time and she gave him to me to have as my own. I kept his name the same, but I did edit him a bit design-wise to give him Siamese markings. He's a sort of Lilac-Point Siamese and he does have stripes that wrap on his back legs and forearms, his tail, and lower back. I'll be drawing a reference for him soon to better present his revisions, but he essentially still looks the same as in the link except his forearms/legs/tail are now lilac/steely blue gradient and his stripes are just a darker shade of that color. :)
I wanted this character to be sweet and heartwarming. He's a cat spirit with a flame-tipped tail and he does have the ability to manipulate fire. The flame-tipped tail varies in color and temperature/heat intensity to correspond with his mood. The color pictured is normal/content and is warm, red/orange would be angry/irritated and be very hot, and varying hues of blue would be cold/indifferent and be quite cold, etc. He has the ability to roam in the physical world and can interact with the living, but living beings cannot see his flame-tipped tail; only those with special perceiving abilities can. Kind of like Amaterasu's from Okami and how her celestial markings are invisible to normal people.
My intention for this character is to represent hope and warmth in a cold and uncaring world. I do believe that in time I'll be able to do this cute fellow justice! I've also considered maybe changing his gender, but I don't know yet. I rather like him as a boy for right now!
