Last night I sat in the tub for over an hour, just watching a little house spider chill out on the shower doors. I've been having a really hard time lately (mentally), and that spider helped a lot.
So, a tribute to spiders! Spiders are awesome and beautiful and friendly, some are also quite soft and fuzzy. Spiders are great all around pretty much.

Wolf spiders are one of my favorites for sure (and so many of them with such awesome markings, wow!) but then again.. all arthropods have fascinated me since I was little.
I also relate, when depression and anxiety are getting to me, looking at bug cuties and such always help me calm down, even if it's just a bit. From finding a jumping a spider in the kitchen, to the longhorns outside that visit us ever May and July.c
I sometimes even look around the house or bug hunt outside so I can take some pictures and relax. Also! I'm pretty sure you've noticed, so I'll just go ahead and mention: Don't you love it when sometimes insects turn around to look at what you're doing while you're adjusting the lense!? It's just so... sweet and curious-like of them, hehe. I even have a few shots like this, I don't know if I'll manage to find all of them but if I do I will upload some for sure.
And now last, spiders are indeed friendly! I wish more people liked them and saw them for what they are, especially those who dont have a phobia, just hate them for those damn lies given to our little friends.

Wolf spiders are definitely my favorite around here. They're always extremely friendly, don't mind being handled, and there's SO MANY different colorations and markings, it's crazy.
All spiders, all insects... pretty much anything hanging around me makes my day better. I spend so much time alone that just having some wildlife around me is reassuring that I'm not completely isolated. People have berated me for getting so close and friendly with "dangerous" animals, but... they're not dangerous at all. The coyotes that live in the woods don't see me as a threat and come by every night, venomous snakes have never been aggressive towards me as I move them out of the way of potential harm... they're all my friends, why should I be scared of my friends?
That applies towards the bad rap spiders have as well, it's not like they're just going to come running full speed out of a corner to bite you or something. They're minding their own business and keeping your house free of other pests you REALLY don't want (house centipedes, termites, etc). Spiders deserve more respect and love.
