As mentioned in my Springfield train show report, I picked up a William GP-9 with an eye towards turning it into a freelance rectifier electric a'la Lionel's 2329 Rectifier Locomotive. So, here's some preliminary fitting of bits towards the conversion, with a customized Baltimore Peter Witt on the shop track after its Lifeguard safety fender (in front of the front wheels) was cemented back into place...

The rectifier bays on the roof, incidentally, were salvaged from old battery packs. "SCROUNGE!" is my motto... :D
