The CAP unit here in my home (in the early '70s) was a farce. I don't mean anything negative about CAP now because I feel that it still is a good thing.

However, Rocket, T. - What I see is that you are active and making a difference. Your rocketry demonstrations, public interactions, and heck even your mascot work are all wonderful. For this, I thank you... and admire you.. and believe me, I do feel that the CAP is STILL A GOOD THING!

And don't give the cadets more than a little break... they might turn out to be like me. (& that ain't good, 'coz I'm a f_k up)

The Chaplain's presentations are now called Character Development. It's eeirie that some of the scenarios describe situations that hit close to home. One delt with a unit that was drill & classroom--kinda like mine. Some units are more active than others though, and there's nothing stopping me from working with other squadrons. So I do. I try to go where I'm needed. The fursuit has opened a few doors for me in recent years.

BTW--We've never heard of anyone named as Testing Officer of The Year.
