Small Backstory:
A young woman with a bleak look of the world, Marij has gone through some pretty traumatizing events. Having been in a car crash with flames, that looked as if they were from hell themselves, caused her to fear the tormenting heat for years to come. Even the sight of a single flick will make her freeze on the spot. Being the lone survivor of the crash, she was placed into an orphanage and was later adopted by an old swordsman, who proceeded to pass down his knowledge of the sword. While she and the swordsman bonded over the years, that still didn’t mean her nightmares have subsided, as she wonders, to this day, what might have caused the crash. ‘That wasn’t just some mere accident…’ she thinks, as she still pictures a being of shadows in her dreams…
