Well this was an incredible surprise this to wake up to this morning! :3
I had been chatting with
Mannoth about Communication and how I was thinking of making pokemon a species in that universe. Admittedly it took very little convincing on his part, but eventually it was decided that Emily's editor at the newspaper that carries her comic strip would be a 'mon.
He apparently liked her so much that he wrote up this wonderful piece last night. And... yeah it's pretty darn amazing. <3
I'll actually have to introduce her properly into the story in the next bit, but for now please enjoy this exclusive sneak pawview of a somewhat minor character! :V

So then does Carlos live in one of those areas that was mentioned where Minevans roam around and Cantolians have little protection from them? Considering that Carlos seems to have implied that Daisy derailing their train is apparently a common occurrence. The poor little guys might want to consider a subway system or something in that case.
Quite a lot of Cantolians seem to know Minevans lately.
By any chance, is her name a subtle reference to that one DTF story where there was a macro non-anthro fox named Daisy that was known for chasing the micro's trains?
P.S. Considering that I read this story first on M and didn't even realize it has been posted here too, it wasn't until I read the description that I realized she was being referred to as a "Zangoose" and not a "Mongoose"..... that probably would have made a whole Tajirans thing a lot more obvious if I had noticed... whoops.

Yup it would definitely seem as though he's living in an unprotected city! And you're definitely not wrong, a subway would at least help stop a lot of the delays.
And haha it would seem that a lot do know each other, yes! Though whether that's just because those pairings are more interesting to focus on, or because it's more common than one might first think I cannot say.

Actually Mannoth didn't give her a name in the original draft, and I accidentally gave her the one we said we'd give to the gardener who was mentioned in chapter 5. And no worries about not noticing, it's an all too easy thing to overlook, especially since I don't explicitly state it anywhere but that one line!
