Quick watercolor painting of a short-eared owl on a card for my dad's birthday tomorrow. It sure has been a while since I've drawn or painted a short-eared owl! This turned out better than I expected since I'm not very confident with watercolor, but still, tips on getting proper light-and-dark contrast, or knowing how much water to use would be appreciated.
